[1] its very often that i CTD since the last patch. When warping, when docking, sometimes when just transfering cargo from container to Industrial hold. Am I The only one? Is there a workaround? Could my patch be corrupt? or is it just a bug that will be fixed soon? (hopefully!!!) |

[7] I crashed to desktop when warping to a gate and cannot get back into my character now. I can get to the character selection screen but when it loads the character, it crashes. Please help me out here CCP. |

[10] I crashed to desktop when warping to a gate and cannot get back into my character now. I can get to the character selection screen but when it loads the character, it crashes. Please help me out here CCP. |

[18] ok gribbly, mmfj. seems like you guys are cault in a bug that they thought they fixed. your other chars should be fine. use one of them to put in a petition (for what its worth) hopfully your stuck chars should be unlocked by tomorrows down time. or the emergecy patch that is bound to go up later today. (that will require them to pull the servers down) give them a bit of time. i realise that most people now a days want things done 2 minnuts ago. (after all that is the reason the macrowave oven was invented. ppl could not wait a minnute for the hot pockets) but they can only code as fast as there fingers and level of sleep will allow. perhaps if more the 3 ppl would log on to the test server to test out these patches. stuff like this would not happen. then again im not saying every one should jump on to the chaos server. just my 2 cent on this ------------------------------------------------ nomad, vagabond, call me what you will. |

[23] We are looking into the issue. It involved NPC entities orbiting a player that is gone and the client doesn't cope with it well. You can file a move petition so that the GMs can move you to last visited station to fix this. A list of the systems that this is occurring in will help us find the source of the problem. |

[39] Yeah I'm having the same issues. I was about to warp and it dropped me to the desktop. Now whenever I try to log in it goes to the "Subspace" part and then drops again. I was about to ask what to do, but I see just above the problem is being looked into. Hopefully the fix pans out. |

[43] EVE, as of this patch writes a .dmp file into the logs/ folder located under the install folder. If you could send this file along with a log of such a crash to [email protected] then I can see what the problem is. |

Does have "Dead and Podded by Pirates" written all over it. I'm a bit dispairing of it really. CCP should have done better than this. |

At worst, I'll be forced to start a new character....If this happens with every patch the Dev rushes to release, don't be looking to have alot of player renewals. What a Lemon! |

[73] Are the devs still researching this? If so periodic updates would be nice. This makes my THIRD stuck in 12 hours. Given the track record of this and the prior patch, CCP should *NOT* be making patches on a Friday. At least not until they develop decent test scripts. |

I got another 4 CTD's today and last one finally locked me out and assumably I'll be out of the game again until downtime. Hopefully this time they'll actually move me to a station instead of letting my ass float in .2 security space. How's that saying go? For every problem you fix you create two more? |

[94] that saying only applies to bad software development. Using unit testing with regression testing.. and doing integration testing should ensure that this shouldn't happen. Ideally trying to automate some simulations of interactive testings with functional testings should prevent integrating these kind of bugs into working software :) but many programmers just skip the testing part to integrate more features.. meaning more bugs. [97] I still get random CTD's since patch 1077, worst thing is, poatch 1052 and 1054 fixed all my crashes, and 1058 brought them all back. Oh well. 1077 IS more stable for me than 1058 heheh. Dont get me wrong i understand that this is very complex game and online games are almost impossible to make BUG free, however i do feel CCP have released this game a tad early, they need more people testing patches on the test server but not many people will waste RL time playing a test server while their main char sits doing nothing, specially when they pay for the privilegeg perhaps CCP should offer some small form of in game conpensation to people who help them test stuff on the chao server, such as an amount of ISKs for one of their characters for each man hour they put into helping (not loads of money just enough to tempt people into helping) sure others have better ideas but just a suggestion... |

It is not only very annoying, but nearly caused my death many times as the game would just crash half way in a battle..I play in windowed mode and the game runs fine for an hour or two then it starts crashing 1 minute after I log on and load the space, or sometimes immediately. A reboot usually solves it for the next hour or so. Sometimes even after a fresh reboot, cache delete, it still crashes immediately. Doing other things like playing with winamp, viewing websites in Internet Explorers also causes more/faster CTDs. |
