As far as I know Titans are planned, but not balanced. I don't even think the Titan models are finished (thank everything divinge for that, from what I've seen the Gallente looks... non-Gallentish)
Also heard a rumour about the HUD/GUI getting changed to accomodate more possible hardpoints in preparation for the Titans (presumably the Caldari and Amarr Titans most of all...)
Don't expect Titans in game anytime soonÖ --

The concept of titans is a very cool one. EVE has to evolve quite a bit before they can be properly incorporated into gameplay. Im much more excited about battlecruisers (a cruiser thats uselfull, omfg!(bb excluded)) and dreadnoughts :) ________________________________________________________

Eve should really stop putting information out that's 9-12 months away. Just makes people anxious and spamming the forums demanding more info.

More important than drooling at the stats or whatever would be....how in the world to they actually plan on distributing titan blueprints?
Using the miner 2 fiasco system or the current tech 2 fiasco system?

Wait until you see this in trade channel...

Obviously from someone who doesn't know how to fly a cruiser. One) BBs aren't that special unless you have friends. Two) A carefully planned out tactic, plus modules, and proper skills make even a level 2 cruiser deadly. Three) I am sick of hearing people say cruisers aren't useful.
6 million skillpoints makes a Cruiser damn good... and a Battleship just bearable. Battleships are used like they are for two reasons... One) Mid term goal. Two) Not wanting to loose Implants as easy.
The most fun I every had was putting away the apocs, typhoons, megathrons, and tempests into my hangar and grabbing a thorax and making blackbird pilots suck up to me in local after I pwned them in a ship that people say is a mining ship. Next fun was taking a rifter out and chasing Blackbird pilots 8 systems and buck cruise missiles into their sides. Oh yeah... I didn't have implants to loose... so the moral of my ranting is that YOUR decisions make your ship and the fun you have in them... not CCPs stats. -------------------- The Nest

"6 million skillpoints makes a Cruiser damn good"
You said it right there, 6million sp to use a frickin cruiser, nice.
OoooOo you took out a rifter, scary. I took out a maller in my kessie lastnight, big deal.
I'm not saying the thorax sucks, ive heard its good because of drones.
The fact is in fleet combat you will see a lot of bs's and a lot of frigies and very few cruisers. These are facts that prove the point, nothing you or i say will change this fact ________________________________________________________

i think he meant he flew a rifter, not detroyed one.... cant be sure though. cruisers arnt bad, and to take out frigates theyre better than BSes. but sadly theyre big enough to upset BSes, but a lot weaker than BSes, and thus they get targetted first in any fleet battle, so noone wants to fly them. The real reason that people dont fly cruisers, is that they need to be used properly. a BS can be flown alone, and fight through a lot of threats. a frig can be flown alone, and is fun, and doesnt matter if it gets killed, but likely wont do much damage to a BS. But a cruiser really needs to be in a group. With about 4 cruisers (any sort really, but well ewuipped), you could take out a battleship, most likely with no losses if they do it right. Thats 20mill worth of ships vs 100mil. but you need to have coordination, and people would rather be able to do everything themselves and thus us a BS.

Thats all true, but why use 4 cruisers when you can use 4 battleships?
