Hey there all, I really need some good advice on this question...
I have just lately returned back to missions after sometime in 0.0 What I want is a fully faction fitted ship to fly in lvl 4 missions. Therefore I would like some feedback on what ship to choose with the following criterias in mind: - Needs to be one of the following ships: MegaT, Astarte, Vindicator, Navy Mega, Kronos. - Needs to be blaster fitted
Let me know what ya think. Plz give some arguments on what you say. I don't need any fittings - but if you already got one that works with one of the mentioned ships, then i will not punch ya for giving it to me :)
Thx in advance - and looking forward to your replies.

Thats an easy one: rail fitted mega. You don't use blasters vs angels because they do most of their damage at 0 - 20km, whereas with a rail mega you can outrange them and keep them, minimising the damage you take. This would result in saving you a fair few ships you'd otherwise lose due to having far too many hostile ships sitting on top of you while you are webbed, scrammed and not able to kill them quickly enough.
However if you still insist on using blasters then I'd say the mega still. At least it's full insurable.

My only piece of advice is to not use blasters. Without the benefit of a MWD, you'll spend forever getting into range. That's extra time that you'll be taking damage and could have been doing damage if you were using rails.
Honestly, if you're looking to faction-fit the crap out of something, use the Kronos with T2 350s. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

not exactly sure why you want to use blasters for mission running. it is slow and sucky'ish with the varied distances of the targets. and some of the angel bs's like to stay around 30-40km, well out of blaster range. and it takes quite a while to afterburn around. (no mwd in deadspace).
but either of the above ships, except the t1 megathron, which kinda stands out as a sore thumb in correlation with what you say you want to do.
why would you even want to put faction gear on a t1 ship in the first place?.
personally i'd use either an astarte to get it done fast, or an eos for the tough ones that requires that little bit extra tankage that fleet command ships provides so well due to their resists.
the reason i like command ships besides their awesome tanking abilities and the quite decent damage, is that there's a lot of frig/cruiser/bc support that you can pop really fast and afterwards the bs's go down pretty fast too..
or you can slug it out with the bs/bc's in the heavy hitting navy mega if that's more to your liking, but then your drones will spend a little time with the scrambling and webbing frigates and such.

Don't know why you seem to be deliberately excluding the Dominix, but honestly that's the correct ship to fight angels with. You can snipe them at range with sentries and manage your aggro better. |

Depending on the mission, I use a blaster fitted Domi to fight Angels. Heavy tank, sentries at long range, then switch on blasters and drones. Fro long range missions, I use my Navy Megathron. |
