Seen it yesterday, absolutely loved it. Downey was such a perfect fit, really doubt it doubt it would have been nearly as good without him. |

RDJ makes the films hes in. RDJ and Johnny Depp are the 2 best modern actors America has produced. Compare those 2 with tossbags like Cruise or Damon and there is a gulf of skill between them. As for Iron Man, will see it later tonight if I can, if not tomorrow afternoon. The preview clips hint at a faithful adaptation of the character, which is surprising for a Marvel character in a film made by Hollywood.

i watched the film this morning... ohh... superhero, saves the world... again
i had a good time, but didn't enjoy the idea of the film so much
1. why do superheroes have to go solo? it is very unlikely that a superhero can defeat an army of bad guys... 2. portable reactor, jet flight... ok ... but why super armor that can not be crushed and prevents the wearer from getting hurt? the concept of super armor has been defeated long ago... 3. why is he a playboy, multibillionaire, scientist, paranoid, savior of the world - all in one and all together - hero is very much unlikely, ninja turtles are more realistic than a genius like the one in the film, with billions and big passion for alcohol and ladies
to me it is on the same rank as transformers, - average
and where does the concept of iron man come from originally? |

1. Ironman was a part of the avengers. 2. It's a comic book man. Issue 1 made in 1963. Think about the differences they had back then. 3. THAT WAS THE POINT. To make a hero out of somebody least likely to be a hero. If every hero was the same then comic books would be really mundane.
This should give ya the history lesson of Ironman.

mmm... nice reply, thanks, still i know Captain America better than any other from the avengers teams, maybe Captain America is world famous, but the comic books isn't
did you like the main actor appearance? do you think the right actor was chosen to depict the Iron Man |

Edited by: Micheal Dietrich on 02/05/2008 18:32:31 Actually I won't be seeing it until Saturday or Sunday, just too much on my plate atm.
I will say though that I am very hopeful of this movie from what I've seen in the previews. It looks very promising as opposed to other films *cough*Fantastic 4 *cough*
EDIT: And about all I know about Captain America was that he was created either in WW1 or 2 as a morale booster for the allied forces. The comic just kept going after that. Captain America is one of the oldest superheroes in todays circulation. |

Also it was a great movie, hope they make a second to be honest... |

They will make a second, then a third which will have 3 villians, cheesey clips and make you wonder how they could have allowed such a movie released. |

In other news... how often do they let Downey out of jail, to go make a movie? |

Reviews, adverts and the fact that most other comic book movies turned into steaming piles of ****e on screen. The story doesnt really appeal to me either. |
