and just say this: The battle that happened in P3EN for over an hour solid was probably the most fun battle I've ever been in!
For what its worth, THAT is the reason that I get on here and poke, prod, flame and use any "whiney" tool in my box to get a fight like that one!

After RKK and Celestial Apocalypse hid and logged, our forces began to disperse. About an hour later it became obvious that Fade Union was coming down for a tussle. So we got whoever was left into a gang and in p3en-e.
We had 8 battleships, 2 frigates and a cruiser. FU had between 16 and 18 battleships and about 10 frigates/cruisers.
We lost our cruiser and (most likely) our frigates, and 3 battleships. Fade forces lost 3 confirmed battleships though I thought I saw a fourth.
It was an awesome battle, lasted about an hour and a half, in the end we had no ammo left and most of us didn't have any armor and barely had structure  Major props to FU, you guys are way awesomer than RKK and CELES. That was the fight I was lookin for tonight, just so so sad that Havocide had to miss it

2 other RKK members were there, the rest had gone to bed. As to the fight, yeah it was good, almost had ya until I was kinda outnumbered, no 800 cap sticks and lil cap left.
I had auto reject on after being spammed a few times with convos mid battle. But you expect me to talk to you, after your childish, pathetic flames on the boards about how "uber" you are?

The battle was great fun, had to bail out and get me self repaired one at a cost of 10mill (42% structure left, my ass was on fire! literally... Enjoyable fight and well done to both sides for getting it to happen.

I never claimed to be "uber." Nor will I ever. I only claim to be a dude who is out looking for a fight, which is the case with every MMORPG that I play, including this one. When people so obviously puss out like RKK and CELES did earlier in the evening, it really is frustrating. But as you see, F-E and ORCUS don't require even odds, we will fight when we are outnumbered 3 to 1 as we were tonight.
Anyway yeah, it was a fantastic fight and reminds me of why I enjoy this game so much. So I hope to see more of it in the future.

Your numbers are warped Cao Cao plus I was there as well. The whole battle was fraped so all of eve can see your "8 battleships and one cruiser" lol. Oh and hopefully after watching it we can get a real loss count for you. We have a screenshot with 8 Plus enemy cans on it, so that means we killed all of your fleet right??
Oh and as far as clest and rkk at safespots we must be doing something right because we scored 4 BS kills to your 2, and yes its confirmed.
The rest of CA and FE have been awesomer as you say to fight cao cao but you are still lame.

I tell you one thing ... I would like to say a big thankyou to CCP technical guys for sorting out battle lag to a good extent. I flew right through the middle of that engagement to lock and cruise missile bomb Mongo Peck's Raven amongst the intermingled streams of capital ship bombardments and not only did my interceptor stay responsive and in one piece but the graphical view of that battlescape was absolutely splendid and very very exciting. I have literally never seen anything like that beautiful background of carnage in pretty smooth and glorious graphics.

yeah Jade, I must agree there, I was virtually lag free during that fight, only lagged when I first warped in but after it all catches up it was pretty smooth through out. Well done CCP.

Ahh, so that's what went on today. I have some screentshots of gates getting camped, and a group of battleships using ECM I think.
After being cramped up in empire for so long, I decided to take my Merlin out for a stroll in 0.0, and ended up getting ganked at a gate by a wrecking shot from what seemed to be 100km range? Wrong place at the wrong time I guess. :)
It was fun to be there, even though I only caught the beginning and aftermath of it all.

Good fight from both sides,
I have no idea of losses, or kills, am waiting to check on that, but hell, i couldn't care, i just know it was a blast. The lag also seemed a lot better than usuall!!! GOOD JOB CCP 
On a side note, i know we were outnumbred, but again, i have no idea of how many you had in total on your side, or how many pesky ickle frigates you had.............ANYWAY! Hope to see you all again real soon, i also ran out of ammo, as i just logged on when the party started and didn't really have time to equip properly

lol, i did notice a number of unusual faces around during that fight, everytime i warped out to safety and a planet or moon i would bump into someones pod who clearly shouldnt have wandered out this far. Oh well, atleast u got to see a good battle

Obviously, even though numbers may be off, we were outnumbered the entire fight, against a mostly VERY tanked fleet. But props to all pilots that came back even with no armor!
Again, most of the frustration with CELES comes from the fact that most fights take place with them after they have gained the numerical advantage.
However, EvE knows that numbers don't always matter, which is why we still fight outnumbered.....but mostly, we fight because this is a game and thats what we like to do, pvp.
As a self-proclaimed pvp force, we'd excpect you to have the same reasons for playing, but your's seem to be to out-wait the opponent to gain the numerical advantage to make sure that your losses are kept minimal.
Very good strategy, except that you've forgotten some thing -

obviously, according to galavat, it takes 7 of us to take him out.
either that, or galavat is whining that we didnt wait the standard and agreed upon 3 hours for him to gather an additional 20 BSs for backup.
lol, we all go down, gal ... best to just take it instead of making yourself look silly.
btw, great job on taking the station while we're not around. I'm astounded by RKKs recent acts of bravery.

Yes i do really hate how we go up there looking for a good fight only to wait in local till you guys call in enough people to greatly outnumber us.
As was said above i see how it is a good tatic to minimize losses. but come on..
if we are at even odds it would be soo much funner :)
we do stay for the fight no matter what the amount is in local

There is this ting called work, then there is a thing called timezones. in order to function at work I for one need to sleep and that is what I was doing.

Oh and Maricheck, its not so odd we take it when you are not around. Seems you mostly play US time and we play EU time. It's called timezones. It's also not our fault you are not online when we are online, adjust your playtime if it is that important.
But then again, I guess for someone lacking common sense that is hard to do, understanding timezones that is.

Last night I participated in killing 1 Apoc, 1 Raven, 1 Dominix and 2 BB. Then we moved back to D7 and took the station back. Then information came that you where assembling in Obe/P3. I sat and waited in D7 to see if anythign was to kick off.
In the end I decided that nothing woudl happen and I was better off sleeping. So I warped to a safespot in D7, logged off and went to bed. This was around 22:15 CET. So get your facts straight.

Very good fight and it was expecially nice to get some "instant action" after being away for some time.
Went in, fired a cargo hold full of missiles, got out .... even after recieving a cruise missile from Jade C ... nearly had to hit the XL-CL5 as the shields went down to 99.8%.
A few "cough" msging infractions on both sides but it would be nice to keep the reports as clean and respectfull as the battle.
Respect to both sides ..

Hmmmmmm. I see you assume we are robots, maybe unlike you we actually have to wake up at 7am GMT to go to work. The funny thing is, Marichek moans about people not fighting when he wants them too, yet I do recall numerous times his corpmates/allies been sat at safespots for various reasons, either being outnumbered, not kitted up to fight etc etc.
The next time I see that happen Im gonna jump on the boards straight away and flame like crazy.

Well, three brave CELES pilots decided to fight when THEY wanted to and quickly lost an apoc and a raven in P3EN.
So, again, I concede...maybe you should stick to working 16 hours per day and sending 20 ships to meet 8.
I'm just happy to expell some ammo at 5am, even though i have to be up at 7 am.

I couldn't be available for action last night as I had real life stuff to contend with.
However it dissapoints me to see Cao Cao, Havocide and Marichek coming out with smaktalk both here and in local.
For the past two or three months (I forget how long it has been that we have been fighting), we have had skirmishes all over the northern sector of space.
Sometimes we are outnumbered and don't fight. Sometimes we are not outnumbered and don't fight for tactical reasons.
Sometimes we have to go to bed and sleep.
Sometimes the enemy is outnumbered and doesn't fight.
Sometimes the enemy goes to bed and sleeps.
One thing has remained constant throughout all the battles... they have been fought with respect on both sides.
Even while the skirmishes are raging on, I have been in contact with the leaders of the enemy comparing probable losses and kills, giving kudos when they pull off a good tactical decision, taking the mickey light-heartedly when we lose or they lose.
This has made the war more fun than anything we have done in Eve before.
That was until yesterday... I was extremely dissapointed to find out that we had received allegations of being cowards and were smaktalked at by someone who had not even been involved in the war until this point.
I was further enraged to see a couple more enemies seemingly backing up his comments.
From this point on, friendly forces are being instructed to simply ignore the EXTREMELY SMALL CONTINGENT of our enemies who wish to smaktalk and simply continue with this war as we have been over the past two months or so.
Smaktalking brings nothing but hate into the game and takes away the fun.
I'm glad to see that some of the F-E have returned to eve now and look forward to fighting against you guys again in the future.

There is one thing that is a must when trying to flame, that is to use facts, facts that can not be denied since they are true, else the flames turn towards you in the end.
Most of the posts from this so called war have been flames towards RKK, CELEST and other groups engaging the F-E and its former members stating that they do not fight simular numbers and in every post the F-E and friend forces post how they were drasticly outnumbered in the begginning of the thread and then it seems the truth gets out and they have to admit that their counts may have been slighty off.
This makes me believe and probably others as well that all your little stories are just that, stories that hold little or no truth in them, because like I said your enemies come and deny your counts and you admit that they are right, it makes you look really bad and you really dont look like you claim, wich is that you always fight outnumbered and always win, you twist the truth so you look better in the eyes of the people who were not there but again because you later on admit that your claims are lies you only look foolish.
So the lesson that would be good to learn here is that when making statements, claims and general flames the only way to go is to use facts, since they cant be torn down.
Lies always get torn down in the end.

I just don't understand all this nonsense goading talk that goes on. Honestly, when someone suggests on the main forum that ccp should instigate a "consensual" war system (both sides have to agree to fight) we are all (rightly) up in arms and saying what a total load of rubbish that would be.
But here we have an actual war, with hostile fleets and manouver and tactics and bold advances and clever retreats and everything, and what whats the apparent main beef?
That people didn't "consent" to some kind of artificial even numbers slugfest for the mutual ego-stroking of all concerned.
What on earth!
Its a war dammit, that means that both sides want to win and that the big picture is eliminating enemy ships, capability, morale, and will to win. Cao Cao is either an idiot who completely misunderstands the dynamic of war-fighting in Eve, or, he is just playing a psyops game to tempt allied pilots into doing stupid things.
Sure this kind of smack-talk is childish and disrespectful but I guess that if you have the smaller, weaker, force, you need to divide your enemy and force them into taking silly chances.
But that said, how anyone could take seriously the charge that Celestial Apoc and Reikoku et al, are not brave and clever and enthusiastic fighters is quite beyond me.
While Forsaken Empire have been plugged into their VR consoles playing medieval sims planetside the northern allies have been fighting for a past couple of months solid. Lets look at the balance of power in the north to assess this:
A couple of months ago Forsaken was a "mighty power" that dominated Vale and Tribute and was supporting a pupport regime in Fade and oppressing the scattered forces of the free north in Deklein and Pureblind. Phoenix Alliance had folded and NAP'ed and with the civil conflict in Stain space the Curse Alliance was ever more free to support Forsaken with its own strength.
Now that is all gone. Forsaken is dead. The Emperor is dead. The protectorate is dead. FE contract miners want refunds. The remaining FE fighters have joined other corps. P-3 to Pureblind is an open territory with running battles against the remaining FE/CA/Oracles forces that skirmish at night there.
So to last night.
Some old FE people jacked out of VR and got into their ships for the first time in months and went looking for a fight. Cao Cao fired off his mouth early and claimed the allies had all run. But then a large and entertaining battle happened that ended with FE/CA/Oracles retreating from 0.0 space in the face of an allied fleet that remained to control the battlespace and salvage rights from the destroyed ship cans.
(I was there, I watched the enemy battleships go)
This was pretty much a retreat from FE/CA/Oracles.
Later on after the majority of the allies had docked for the night a small group of FE/CA/Oracles counterattacked and scored some kills.
And so on!
War continues.

This makes me laugh... whenever our enemies get a kill its "we killed 4/5/6/9billion BS", or whatever (im not arguing with the numbers). As soon as we post how many CA BS kills we have had its always STFU You lie! Or Numbers dont count! (no pun intended)
Then the rhetoric goes on... and on... and on... and on... and soon it becomes a neccesary illusion that celes are a bunch of useless hiding n00bs that sit at safe points all day, and can only fight when we have superior numbers.
So ONCE more, and probably not for the last time I must remind everyone that this is a GAME.

So THAT's what was going on! ROFLMAO. Someone managed to nail me.. 1400's in a Tempest pegged my Rifter at a gate in one slap. Was so lagged out I wasn't even sure what was going on then my client crashed.
Next thing I know I log back in and I'm sitting in an easter egg on the other side of the gate and someone in a Blackbird flips out a Cruise Missile at me...
Ah well - it was only a rifter, I got to see a lot of pretty lights and special effects.... pretty cool battle.
That'll teach me to go exploring about when I don't check the map.
So.... who's got my corpse?

you guys can argue numbers but fact remains. we go up there looking for a fight but rkk wont fight us on fair terms until they call in rkk and celest once they have a big number then they fight.
the first night we went up to D7- it was about 9v9. we then went to take over the station. all of rkk went to a safe spot. in about an hour you see local jump from 20 to like 45.
we stayed an fought. doing hit and run tatics all night long.
in all the battles that we fought in we lose about the same amount of ships.
i will start taking screen shots to show what local looks like when we fight :)
i am very proud of the guys in Orcus no matter what we are up against we fight and we fight bravely and that is something our enemies agree on too

You know what Lachenlaud, I actually remember seeing your corpse amongst all the wreckage and cans at that gate later on after the battle had finished and wondering to myself ... who was that man? It might still be there.

Normally I am against posting private convos on the public forums, but I feel that Omniwar's tirade about our honesty needs to be cleared up.
As I said before, the other engagement WAS in fact 5 vs. 5 in terms of battleships. The first engagement WAS about 8 or 9 and/or 12 or so ships total vs. 25-30 ships total of which at least 16-18 were battleships. And no we didn't run to safespots, we stood our ground and fought for 2 frigging hours:

Apparently you guys missed the part about the kill numbers, and the size of the forces. Everything I have said thus far in this thread was confirmed in that convo, which is why I posted it. So you can all SHOVE IT with your moaning about how we are making up the fact that we are heavily outnumbered etc. It is true and always has been, you can choose to ignore it if you like.
And Jade, if you think "dive bombing" every 15 minutes in your pathetic little interceptor has any effect whatsoever in a battle of that magnitude, you are kidding yourself. Try equipping a warp scrambler next time, you might make yourself useful.

12 Enemy BS entered local.
I put the call out to our friends in c0d and our friends in FU.
They were over 2 hours out, so while the enemy forces attempted to take over the station, we attempted to run harrasment until our reinforcements arrived.
As well you know, we then fought for two hours solid in a series of engagements where we stopped you taking the station until the last 5 minutes before our reinforcements arrived.
In those two hours, you destroyed 3 frigates of ours and we destroyed 95% of your drones.
Once our reinforcements arrived, we killed the following ships:
Stardog - Scorpion
Raymore - Scorpion
Havocide - Battleship (the FU forces ganked in record time - including a 1400 hit of over 1700 on him ;)
Havocide - Punisher
Stardog - Frigate
Friendly forces lost were:
1 c0d armageddon (forgot his name)
5 frigates
2 other ships were destroyed by the PA and have since been recompensated.
You did indeed then stay and do hit and run tactics all night. The SAME thing we had done to you when we were outnumbered.
If you are in anyway confused about what happened during any of those fights then speak with your leader that evening, Jhered Stern of Orcus. He was there all evening and seemed to know the score.

In fact it is true. I sat with Havocide and 3 others one jump away from d7 while you guys had 21 people in local. It wasn't until about 30 mins later that we linked up a few jumps back with the ORCUS people and took down Shadowthrone. You had every opportunity to engage us when we had 5 ships, and we would have fought, as we always do. In fact we were WAITING for you to jump in to us with your 21 people.

RKK etc sat in D7...Thats a station system right? So, the prize in question is in the system they occupy.
There you are (Cao Cao etc) sat 1 system away...Thats the system *without* the station in.....
Other than to score a couple of kills for the sake of killing...RKK/CELES should really, really jump and attack you....why?
The question is from a tactical point of view by the way......Whay would they jump out of a system which contains something of value to score a couple of kills?
Tactically important? (Not convinced...a nice bonus but not convinced)
Boredom? (Not utterly sure on this but i suspect RKK?CELES etc are pretty good at not allowing this to become a motivation)
I'd like to hear (genuinely) a good, solid reason why they should have come to get you.

Well it seems to me that after such an excellent battle that lasted nearly 2hrs not 1, people have to do their best to lose the respect they deserve from fighting in such a battle by blatant lying and unnecessary one upmanship.
I was there as were 2 others from CoD to fight FE/CA with the allied forces.
Let me put some truth and honour back into this thread..
1. The battle was amazing
2. All who fought did so bravely
3. FU/RKK/Celest/CoD forces outnumbered FE/CA but not 2:1more like 3:2
4. Losses as yet to be confirmed were alot heavier on the FE/CA side than they admit
5. FE/CA are to be respected for their ability to stand their ground when out numbered.
6. Ship losses should not just be counted as BS losses, frigs-interceptors-cruisers are effective in fleet combat and their loss should be acknowledged as such.
7. The maddest dude there was Phonix who fought the main battle with 12% structure or something after the first small skirmish in the previous system
8. The hardware upgrade seems to have improved large scale fleet battle lag problems
On a personal note I hate waiting for these battles to start it sometimes takes hours.
Then afterwards I find those that stray from the facts and post what they dreamt happened in a disturbed sleep purile and deserving of every flame they get.

Silk has it more or less completely right, all I would add is that I think there are actually two sides the to FE/CA/Oracles coming out. There is a pretty good-natured, fun, professional side that I think RKK and allies have got used to fighting this last month, and there is a rather less mature and nastier side that we saw here after the glorious had actually ended.
All this willy-waggling about numbers and who jumps into who is rubbish. As is attempting to divide or demean an enemy that has clearly stood the test of time.
I spent a couple of hours in a good natured series of frigate duels this afternoon in P3 with the new face of the FE(Oracles) and by and large it was respectful and friendly. What seems a shame to me is that sometimes the bitter old guard of the FE rise to fill the forums with smack and rubbish to diminish any actual fighting respect that the two sides *who have been actually doing* the fighting have gained.

Yes, my bad, there was a BB and the Tempest from CELES that went down...and also the Apoc went down...we have his tachyons/megabeams, but i forgot what corp it was. The CELES raven had a bit of damage, but my eyes had glazed over from the fact that the sun was rising when that all happened.
And no, please dont be so childish as to think that I post every time my guns go off. But this engagement with so few CELES seemd much too ironic to not post directly after Darth Solo had posted. I couldn't help it.

I think you misunderstand me Harlequin, I don't mind Cao Cao posting a private chat log for psychological warfare purposes. In fact I am kinda glad he did. For my counter psyops purposes it shows that he is a untrustworthy fellow that can't keep matters in confidence. Thats pretty significantly useful in categorising his influence as malignant.
I'm not crying "no-fair" ... I am saying (IC) "what a bounder, see, its right and just we are bashing his corp in the war".

Anyway PLD just marched up to D-7 and retook the station with 7 battleships and 3 frigates. Enemies had over 20 in system, and a fleet that we passed by in 900-LH (as they cowered in safe spots). *yawn* how boring, you guys really need to grow some balls.

Yes Cao but i gave the janitor the keys of the station to clean the windows better. well anyways cao is right we passed a fleet that choosed to hide while we took the station on. Then like 15-20 of them jumps into d7 and they still deside to hide i dont know whats up with that. We only had like 9-10 pll. I mean u guys just wanna try avoid fighthing ? thats not our style and yes you the janitor u better clean the windows better this time when we get back there dont make me get nasty on ur ass.

Thats not remotely the point. The point is that this is an example of conversation assumed to be private by one party then being used for propaganda by the other. You and I always knew that such things are possible in total war scenarios. But some people expected more of their opponents. Hence when its proven their opposite numbers are less honourable and decent than they imagined them to be, it will make easier to fight and kill them. (It being much simpler to slay a foe you despise than one you respect).

Please try to be accurate in posting then, being tired isnt an excuse. U claimed to have taken down a celes raven and apoc on further examination the apoc that was downed was from another unaligned corp ( intel sugeest might have been kraa? viper corp or something? ) and the raven was only damaged.

That was over the line.
Repeating what a guy told you to your face when he didn't even ask to not spread it around shouldn't be an issue.
That would be like me saying I don't like Bad Harliquin's mohawk to his face and telling him that as soon as he went to sleep I was going to shave him bald.

Just do what I do, don't talk to people in game in private :) The game is so much more fun when you don't have to deal with the politics of things.
