The swearfilter ate your link. I swear, this is the most ludicrous and overzealous swearfilter I've ever seen
Though undoubtedly it was to a killboard with exploded cruisers?

Quoting him shows the link uncensored. It's a BC killed by his stabber, apparently solo (100%).

Just a thought but if you have alot of heat dmg on your expensive mods, if u are ganked are they more likely to be destroyed?

The Beam Prophecy has a mix of named/T1 mods for the most part.
I almost had to disengage, but he capped out. The point though was that people still use cruisers because despite all this talk of ships being free after insurance, you have to jump through all sorts of hoops to get fights, because people just don't want to lose their ships. Removing all insurance will just make it that much harder to get fights.

Each mod has a 50% chance of dropping. The odds of one of the faction mods (the good ones, the ones that you claim are worth ganking over) dropping is 1/19. So, for every Raven I gank with only two faction invulns I have a roughly 5.25% chance of making a profit. Normalized over 19 ganks, I will make an average profit of 14.47m per gank (assuming I work alone). Since I must work with at least three other pilots to ensure said Raven dies before I die to Concord, I get a whopping profit of 3.62m every time I suicide gank said Raven.
Since at this point, it is clear that you are completely and utterly wrong about just about everything you said about efficiency, it's fairly easy to conclude that not only are you wrong about the efficiency of ganking a Raven with two faction invulns, you are also wrong about pretty much everything else you've said. You don't have to worry about the efficient gankers, they know it's not worth it; you do; however, have to worry about the inefficient ones, the idoits and the inexperienced, because they will see those two faction invulns and think incorrectly, as you did, that it is indeed worth it to gank said Raven. The fact that the stupid ones are going to have trouble doing it properly (i.e. completing the gank successfully) is a measure of assurance that fitting two faction invulns will not get you ganked.
Not only have you failed to "prove me wrong," you have proven to everyone how right I was when I said you were clueless and ignorant about the subject at hand. And as for "showing you what kind of person I am," sorry for telling you the truth (not really), sorry it hurts (sry, nop), hope you choke on it.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. You are an Eve welp, a little older than a year, you didn't see or understand much yet. You was part of a blob and killed some newbs a few times, and now you think you're the expert on everything, from mission-fittings to ganking. Yet you fail basic understandings of game mechanics, as the quoted post proves.
If one printed your posts onto a sheet of paper and attempted to light it on fire, the fire would run away screaming. You try to make up your lack of intelligence with insults and stupid accusations. With your activity in this thread you have proven your intellectual parity with a seven-year old.
I hope this answer fits more to your level of communication, since you apparantly are incapable of having a rational and mature discussion with the grown-ups in this forum.
I'm done with you, may god have mercy on your soul.

I'm also betting, and this is not just regarding you Helen, that it serves (or attempts to serve) the purpose of diluting, diverting and obscuring the issue. An issue that is most likely costing ccp some customers, but is also making you money, or allowing griefing for a very small cost. Or at the very least, allows these activities that you (again, not just you, Helen) enjoy, to happen with great frequency.

Oh you got me, but lets face facts most mission runners are by nature not the type to see the thing about ganking on forums because they live in such a secluded world. So even if it made on EvE news I doubt they'd notice or take precautions. Heck I bet most people reading these threads still don't take precautions.

You jump to system where you have mission, at gate there are like 5-7 ravens waiting for you. you are dead at this point and nothing will help you. if you try to warp out they will scram you and pop you, same if you log off. no defence. NO WAY TO SCOUT becouse you never know if those guys are just waiting for someone with who they are in war. EVE is lossing much becouse of those grefiers and CCP isnt doing anything. PPL who will lose a lot of isk becouse of those exploits and other bugs will LEAVE GAME -> CCP lossing money

okey here is my main problem with suiciding:
it is against any form of rp logic.
if there was a police and insurance company of any kind they would first of: 1: NOT PAY INSURANCE!. socoundly: 2:drag your ass directly to jail where you would sit for quite a while so you couldn't do more harm. and lastly: 3: they would conficate ANY and ALL cargo that would have been dropped in the attack and conficate the suiciders mods as punishment and return the remaining of the cargo and mods of the victim to him.
as it is now it totally destroys ANY sense and logic that may have been in eve and the whole "it is a harsh universe" is kind of gone to "well KIDDY WORLD here we come!!" since concord as the police gives a punishment that is laugheble.
if i took a truck and hit it into the side of some money transport, then the police came and arrested me (yer sure = concord destroying your ship), then afterwoods my freind jumped by and stole all the money, police right there beside him doing nothing, and after that my insurance comes saying "ow well here is the insureance for your track", what kind of world would do something as insane and stupid as that? and for that matter as low "risk" as that? ___________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded |

i don't have any problem with the current state of affairs, but really looting someone's wreck should get you concorded. perhaps give wrecks a 15 minute timer after which salvage rights open up to anyone passing by.
i don't really care that much about the risk of a suicide gank, someone suicided my cormorant once cause he thought i was an isk farmer for azn sale. people will do what they do. the above suggestion is more based on logic than balance.
oh, and 1/2 = 1/19. nod.

Sorry to say that but it really seems that this thread is filled of emo/falsehoods coming from both sides.
Suiciders: "CONCORD gives consequences not safety". While I do agree with the statement and playstyle, currently the consequences for suiciding are the equivalent of a 100$ fine for assault and robbery in daylight. That sounds like a "slightly" nerfed consequence.
Suicided: "There's nothing you can do against suiciders". If that were true, I wonder how is it possible for me to move through lowsec gatecamps using BC, BS and even industrials. While I do agree that you cannot escape from a well organized gatecamp in _0.0_ (unless using a proper ship), with proper equipment and preparation any camp in empire space can be avoided even by industrials and battleships (barring bad luck, which sometimes happens). Highsec makes that EASIER, not worse.

Is it true that as long as you never use autopilot and go afk, and fly manually to every gate and jump immediately, your chance of getting suicide ganked is fairly low?

LOLz...have you tried this?
1. Scanning another ship's cargo while still in cloak 2. Targeting another ship while still in cloak 3. Scanning several ships' cargo uncloaked before being targeted and alpha'd 4. Scanning any ship's cargo from the other side of a gate
ROFL
Erm... use a scout for scanning? It's not that you had any chance of surviving if you found out those Ravens are gankers when you're already facing them, is it?
