Not jet, but very soon EvE become 10 years old game, this is big period of time and worth to celebrate, here you can post your wish about gift form CCP, when this time come.
How about some free sp gift ? or maybe game expansion with real Jove rase with real impact on game play, not only at map...

If you consider this long standing relationship with EvE and your metal mistress anything close to a marriage then maybe we should look at aniversary gifts:
The Gemstone Black Onyx is normally associated with the 10th Anniversary.
So maybe we should be expecting some new kind of Covert Heavy Interdictor class for each race? Make the birthday gift a limited run BPC of the ship as per your racial preference

I wish we could get a unique gift ship that /isn't/ totally crappy.
I don't understand CCP's past logic of giving out free gift ships that are so usefless that they won't be used.
If for once CCP gave out a gift ship to each player that was /actually good/, I don't think it will be game unbalancing at all since only one of two things can happen with it:
A) people use this unique ship since it is better, eventually getting ganged up on and having them all destroyed and removed form game by other players.
B) people keep them indoors for display and ship spinning, in which case they are never used, and thus also have no impact on the game.
In either case there is no lasting negative effect on gameplay by introducing a one-off uber ship type, that wil at least be fun for a little while.
. . .Or is there some factor I am not considering here?

I'd prefer this, something cosmetic and entirely useless as an advancement in the game (like the snowball launchers) than something like the fuel bpos etc. |

For CCP's 10th Anniversary, I will send them a 1-year Eve subscription.
Along with that, I will wish them another 10 years.
Perhaps by then we'll be using decent VR HUDs and perhaps even Haptic-feedback suits. Who knows ?
How about for the 10th EvE Anniversary, we send CCP something ? Everyone buy a PLEX or two, why not ?

My free gift wish is this:
A few weeks before the 10th anniversary, reports start coming in from the Drone regions of a new 10/10 Plex not previously encountered. These plexes drop large numbers of Superior Drone AIs, many of which subsequently make their way to high sec. Simultaneously, Hi-sec LP stores begin to demand small numbers of these AIs for a few specific items. Consequently, the AIs become widely dispersed around many of the most populated systems, and even make their way into NPC space.
On Day 0, each of these AIs becomes active. Within seconds, every single drone in the station, from the humblest Acolyte I to the mightiest Ogre II is utterly subverted, becomes semi-sentient, and utterly hostile to humanity. Drones already inside ships chew out the inside of the hull and join their bretheren in the station. Soon, massed hordes of subverted drones are attacking infected stations, reducing the defences of the station AIs with viral assaults, and pouncing on capsuleer ships on grid outside in terrible devouring swarms. Many stations fail, and begin producing vast numbers of rogue drones which begin an implacable mass incursion into human space.
Uninfected stations can still produce working drones subservient to their human masters, but even a single Superior Drone AI is sufficient to subvert a poorly defended station. A committed and desperate defence by pod pilots can save a station, but the drones only have to be lucky once. Quarantine zones are rapidly established, but humanity is is a chaotic, fractured race, and capsuleers are unable to put their grudges aside - many human stations fall due to deliberate smuggling of Superior Drone AIs by enemies of the owners.
Within weeks, the majority of human space is a seething hive of hostile sentient drones, and it takes a major co-ordinated effort to defend uninfected systems, let alone retake infected ones - even if anyone knew how to liberate those stations.
Malcanis' Law: Any proposal justified on the basis that "it will benefit new players" is invariably to the greater advantage of older, richer players.

In honour of CCP and its 10 years of having the best MMO I will do my best to fit up an officer fitted vindicator and go pvp with it till it dies, then post my loss in GD in all of its horrible glory for the people to critisise and praise CCP in their wisdom to allow me to lose so much in such a silly way.

The gift should be based on how long you been playing Eve. I mean, it make sense yes? Longer you been playing, you should be better rewarded for sticking with the company. Almost 6 years of eve is a long time, but not as long as 8+ year guys that been playing. |
