Completely misread that as you have four gigabytes of ovaries. o,O
Anyway, the page works fine for me. I don't have too much of a memory drain on mine.
Do the right thing. Don't leave shuttles in space. |

Yep. He's right the site uses an excessive amount of RAM in firefox (and ie).
If you lack RAM and just want to read the information then you can disable flash with noscript or adblock plus.

Just tested it with Firefox3, no memory issues. With Firefox2 it grows to 900mb, but this is a know issue with firefox. :)

I get ~13% cpu usage (on an intel quad) and up to 200MB of ram used for just that page in Firefox 2.0.0.14.
Memory usage seems to spike massively whenever the a titan blows up (a lot when both do) but falls back to safe relatively levels (50-60MB for the page) eventually afterwards.

Hey, welcome to the Jitarean Age!
Same problem here, that webpage hoses the cpu to 100% and the memory usage is way out of control, it just keeps sucking RAM till the nothing responds anymore.
Finally, the marketing department found a way to let the world 'Test Drive' this game by visiting one well thought out webpage.

the banner is really super duper cool but yes, it's eating megabyte after megabyte if i leave teh tab open.
leaving it open and switching to another tab clears my memory and it starts to eat again if i switch back

I've grabbed and decompiled the main.swf to look what slows down the whole thing.
They've not made it a single file, but the main.swf loads multiple other SWF-files and so on. As the movies don't get unloaded again, they load and load, again and again, consuming huge amounts of RAM.
Pretty nice looking, but poorly programmed.
Also... all these transparencies in Flash can cause major CPU-usage. .

I've got nothing here. A 20MB spike in FireFox 2 (thought I was running FasterFox, but it turns out I'm not). Returned to normal as soon as I closed the tab. Weather Underground seems to cause me more issues, actually.
Running a 3 year old Toshiba Tecra M5. Love this old beast....

Memory usage in opera spikes from 120k going up about 8k a second on that site. However if you keep it in another tab it doesnt...just when its active.
