question has been raised many times, there is no answer to it. all pvpers die. good pvpers manage to kill as well. great pvpers manage to kill good pvpers, and rarely die. best PvPer would be someone who kills lots and never dies. Tank isn't one, even though he is very good, nobody else is either.

There is no one best pvp'er, it's a silly question. I don't mean that offensively it's just like asking how long a piece of string is.

there is no answer. you can make a list of people who are the better lot in the game, and just look at them. you couldn't try getting them to fight eachother, as so much of it is luck, one setup may cover absolutely everything, EXCEPT the one that your opponent uses on that day.

Its what makes eve pvp exceptional. There is no "uber" setup that will guarrantee a win every time. One setup can always be beaten by another.

kills to death ratio is a pretty good estimate, but some people tend to fight against the odds alot, so they may die more often than others even though they are better. I know people who regularly PvP in large groups where they crush the enemy with their numbers, many of them are not actually that good, but they have great kill to death ratio's.

I would rank Tank ceo in my top 10 for sure. The best pvper i say is the one who fights against the odds. There are many like that in EVE.

A good pvp'er know's his limits, however i cannot name a single pvp'er that is best. We have tobruk who has been fighting 1vs1's against our enemies and isn't unbeaten, but even a single pvp'er cannot match teamwork.
So the actual question should be: What is the best pvp team.

Fist and Jexter would be my guess. Those have the highest kills and the lowest deaths and fight more than their own numbers and win.

you cant really tell with eve on a 1v1 basis, thats why you dont see many of these types of posts like you do with fps's.
its more of a our fleet is better then your fleet type of game....and we see alot of them posts

Tank CEO (The Original) isn't probably even around anymore, you can tell by his attitude, lack of ego, and fighting style.
Tank CEO wasn't even that great to begin with, he had no friends, even his closest friends didn't have any respect for him.
A good pirate, is the one who sits and helps his enemy become a bigger challenge next time they meet, not one who diminishes and pleads senseless ignorance on his foes. He who does, will be the first floating in the big dark freezer.

Correct me if i'm wrong.. but this game doesnt lend itself very well to point one single person out and say that he or she is good at pvp. It is not like you'd perform a few loopings, a split-s and fly your battleship through a barn to shake off the person chasing you.
Sure, people like Tank CEO are good at what they do, but most of the kills probably involved another corp mate that might've jammed the target, the corp mate that decides to warp the gang to a more strategic location, the corp mate that risked his neck to make some decent bookmarks or maybe even the corp mate that doesn't say a word in local might go unnoticed as being a good pvp'er.
So.. i'd rather stick to saying: <x> alliance is good, <y> corporation is good or <z> gang is good.

I know u didnt want him picked, but how can u not:).
3.valeria ( quick thinker, NEVER makes mistakes)

1. sun ra (very impressed with what iv seen).
2. Toulak (good leader).
3. TMX (always game)
What makes these ppl stand out?, balls, big ones ...

Well listen to this carebear, it is still the original Tank Ceo. How do i know? Well ive listened and talked to him on ts for sometime now and guess what its the same voice so stfu and mine your roids.

Ye they will come when ccp stop using soon^tm comments and fix problems/bugs quickly. But hey when will that day come?
