It wouldnt in any way hurt if CCP made "The Superstore", similar to todays LP stores except the only commodity involved was ISK.
If they added stuff like Golden ships, T3 ships (in advance, say you could fly around in them for half a year before they were launched ingame), T2 Faction ships and such. If they just started spitting isk sinks out their a** here and there would it really hurt anyone? Dreamworld scenario would be adding 7+ implants or better. Other things such as painting services would allso be cool. Beeing able to colour any ship in game in the colour of your choice for instance.
But especially the 7+ implants comes to mind though, would it really hurt anyone if they were implented costing say 1b\per?

That wouldn't fix things, only proper high-end industrial content will, but it would help a fair bit. Especially in the short-term. I've been calling for T2 BPO auctions (with the ISK going to the factions) since the beginning of the year. Throw in a few super rare navy ship auctions (to correspond with the launch of FW) and you could drain off a couple trillion ISK. Hell, they could even offer top end items like +7's and perhaps even top end officer mods at fixed ISK prices. All that ISK would just get replaced as more and more flows in without proper sinks but it would help things right now.
How about dayly auctions for stuff like +7 implants or rare ships?
Imagine a ship only acessible through weekly auctions. The prices items like that could drain from the game would be pretty extreme.
edit: managed to write "imagine a sheep only acessible".. new typo for my sake.

Edited by: Ortos on 17/05/2008 10:57:41 If I could choose a solution here I'd add tons of faction ships buyable for ISK only (no LP involved) at a price where people would actually take them out to PVP.
Another thing I could just aswell add in is industrial services: Beeing able to for instance buy POS fuel delivered to your station by NPC's. At an additional charge ofcource.
Or empire taxi services, beeing able to instantly jump a ship thru empire space. Again, at a charge. So it wouldnt be something people did on a regular basis, but say today, when im moving several ships from one location to the other it would be nice.
Player market for moving stuff is dysfunctional at best anyhow.

The biggest problems of ISK sinks in this game is that they all conflict with the idea of player economy. In that sense, removing things like shuttles as NPC goods might just do more harm then good. As that sure was an ISK sink.
People are gonna pay for convenience though. Empire taxi services for cargoless ships is one way of adding convenience. And such a service dont really have to be all that cheap either, today I had the choice between moving a ship 45 jumps or destroying 3 rigs and selling it.
One of the funniest imagineable ways would be removing 4\5 of all ISK and then removing insurance all together. But I dont think that'd go over to well with the MD community :p Would remove 70 trillion ISK in a single sweep though. ^^
Prices would be totally mad but stabilize to the new reality rather fast. Oh imagine the whines :P

Kwint: Right on point
Any item with a supply lower then the demand is increasing steadily. If there is no inflation whats going on with moon minerals? :p
Unlimited supplies equals a steady market.
