Edited by: Michiel Rooijen on 18/05/2008 11:54:59 Edited by: Michiel Rooijen on 18/05/2008 11:54:28 So I've been pirating in my Thorax for a while now and decided that I'm going to give something lighter a try too - so here's my Incursus, what do you guys think?
Not everything is T2 fitted, working on my T2 Blasters too.
[Incursus, PVP] 200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Cold-Gas I Arcjet Thrusters J5b Phased Prototype Warp Inhibitor I X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator
Anode Light Electron Particle Cannon I, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S Anode Light Electron Particle Cannon I, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S Anode Light Electron Particle Cannon I, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
This build stamps out a whopping 100 DPS at a non-stop rate of 800 m/s with the agility of a fly.
The plates allows it to be forgiving I guess, and the Inert forgives the plate for being such a fatty and the rest of the ship too.
How would you rate it in general lowsec piracy of which I'm in a 2man gang (or more) most of the time..
Cheers people!
EDIT: Nano'ed it..

Don't get in a fight with an interceptor, that is my only comment.

I'd switch the inertia stab for a nanofiber. Otherwise a nice setup Sig removed. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to know why. -Conuion Meow
May I have pink next time plz? |

I've been playing with a Nano and Inert for a while, but a Nano gives me far less agility then a Nert - while they both give quite the speed boost.
Nano gives more speed, but less agility Inert gives mediocre speed boost, but superb agility.
So.. my dilemma.
EDIT: I guess the choice is obvious.. it needs a nano. Just saw that a Inert does not give a speed boost.

Edited by: Furb Killer on 18/05/2008 12:01:59 Nano and plate basicly do exactly the opposite. One increases buffer and mass, the other one decreases both.
I would at least switch plate for damagecontrol (slightly less total HP, but not that much). Then you can at least get ion blasters and probably neutron blasters.
Dont forget the drone.

I'm sorry, great luck and all but my god some of those guys must have been noobs. I'd be ashamed if I died to any incursus in even my anti cruiser setup malediction.
More on topic I've got
Highs: 3x electrons
Meds: MWD, Scram, Web,
Lows: 200mm plate, DC,
Rigs: Damage rig, ROF rig,

what's the point of putting crazy expensive rigs on a T1 frigate that couldn't survive a stiff breeze?

Those rigs are pretty cheap and I haven't lost it yet. With the 200mm and the DC you get pretty sweet effective hp.

Might I suggest that you try out a catalyst?
[Catalyst, Catalyst] Damage Control I 100mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Inertia Stabilizers I
1MN MicroWarpdrive I Warp Disruptor I
125mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S 125mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S 125mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S 125mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S 75mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S 75mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S 75mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S 75mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
Hobgoblin I x1
Puts out the same DPS, with twice the HP and about twice the speed. Align times are comparable, but you get twice the sig radius. You still wouldn't be able to engage interceptors, but you cuold probably take on two frigates.
I tried to tailor this to match what I think your skills are. If you have space left over you could either upgrade the plate or swap out some of the 75mm guns for more 125mm's.

If you are gona do a setup like this drop to all 75mm and fit a bigger plate or drop the plate and go to all 125mm.
Either way though my incursus would munch it because it doesn't have a web.

Maybe, but the OP may not have the fitting skills to get all the mods on with your fit. |

Edited by: Prometheus Exenthal on 18/05/2008 19:34:26 I love my Incursus
LOWS dcu2, od (or adaptive nano plate)
MIDS named mwd, web2, scram
HIGHS ion2 x3 [null]
RIGS hyrbid burst & collision
DRONE whatever
--------------------------
This will kill any interceptor except a blasteranis With my skills it goes 3022m/s (4315 heat), does 117dps (134 heat) with null, and has 2459eHP. You've got more eHP than any ceptor except a malediction and blasteranis, and do more damage than everything except the latter.
As for the rigs.. In Jita they are 2.5-3mil a piece. Anywhere else they are overly inflated to **** like 9-15mil.
Don't bother with Void since by the time you kill the ceptor he will be crawling away to about ~5-7km, so Null (with my skills) still hits
Also, I fly this for lulz and because I can't afford to be fitting ceptors left and right . A nice Taranis will run you about 20mil, whereas this costs me about 13mil. Obviously the survivability is lower, but the fun factor is alot higher when you're unsure about winning or losing the fight
@Dheorl Heh, more than welcome to find me in your missile Malediction . In regards to your fit, I played with a similar electron setup, but found the range to be lacking WAY to much for killing interceptors since they tend to creep out of range before the final blow.

Where abouts do you live? I'll happily come and fight you.
In reference to the gun size I generally fight bigger targets in mine where the extra hp is invaluable when getting into range. I can understand why the extra range may be useful against ceptors though.

That fits with Electrons, not Ions. I thought of that setup as well, but range is still an issue, which means spending more on the rigs for it .
