Greetings Spacefriends,
Am I important? No. Do my votes necessarily matter? No. Can I stand Goonwaffe? Not in the slightest.
Do I appreciate what The Mittani did for CSM6 (and the CSM as a whole)? Absolutely.
I am not a goon, nor have I ever been one. My alt (Elisriel) is just that, a simple hauler alt. I'm a 8 year (only 2-3 active) character.
I say this for transparency and for people to realize there ARE voters out there that aren't goons, and understand what The Mittani did for EVE, and what he can continue to do. I am one of them. Yes, I was CFC (FCON) for a long time, that does not influence my decision.
For those of you crying "He is chairman because he leads the largest alliance"
It's just not true. I believe in what he has to say, and what he can do. I don't like him or his corporation of idiotic trolls, but I appreciate what he does for my Spaceships.

The denizens of Jita Park - mostly bitter npc forum alts - are constantly doing a disservice to my consituents by claiming that my supporters are all from Goonswarm.
In CSM6, only 1750 of my 5365 votes came from GSF.
But I'm happy to see other candidates dismiss my supporters as 'sheep' - it just inspires them more. The other contenders may not value them, but I do. The Office of the Chairman: A Thread for Constituent Issues |

Not a Goon (heck, barely have the training wheels off in this game) but been following the goings-on in EVE for quite a while, FWIW the changes put in this year rekindled my interest to break down and cough up the moolah to start out in the universe, so not familiar with the cults of personality or the players beyond name recognition so that doesnt influence my decision.
Throw roses at him, or throw rocks at him (or railgun rounds, missiles, lasers, blaster bolts, cream pies, launched cows, etc.) The MIttani does get results and does get things done.
So, then.

No both The Mittani, and Trebor, made strong arguments for voting for Hans since he most represents the issues that effect me directly. Pretty sure he got one of my votes last year but I honestly can't remember who exactly I voted for last time. |

I'm from the School of applied knowldege and won't be voting for Mittens.
I could have considerd him as a legitimate voting option until I spent very little time reviewing the candidacy details and some of the issues. It soon became apparently clear the arrogance and selfish idiocy that Mittens represents.
It is also largely no suprise the lengths of manipulation Mittens will go to to scramble for votes. Nor I imagine is the idea that alts posting in favour of Mittens to eek out support he needs:

I do not reject the plausability of people from outside of GSF voting for Mittens, that isn't my claim. I can't and won't explore evidence as to RL status of players and who owns what account etc. as the aspect of personal details is held in confindence by CCP and is not permitted to be posted. Nor do I have any real desire to investigate peoples personal details for EvE (it is a game after all).
My argument is simply presenting reasonable doubt based on GSF's own testimony as to the presence of corruption and manipulation through propoganda methods. As such it should not be viewed as a personal attack on you Mirrodin. Also you are perfectly entitled to vote for who you wish.

My post is merely addressing the issues surrounding your justifications as how you are supporting your voting reasons as to be important due to not being directly associated/affiliated with GSF. So as a result my argument represents a plausible viewpoint why lack of affiliation may not necessarily be judged as credible. |

The frustrating part about most people saying things like this is that "Handing goons the seat" instead of looking at the candidate, their qualifications, and what they've already done for the game.
Mittani does drop brutixes on lowly, useless miners. Sure. He's scammed people out of Titans, fine. Who cares? He helped bring Crucible to bear (with the other CSM members) and did not act like a mewling child after being flown to Iceland for free for an emergency summit. He told CCP they need to harden the **** up, and fix their idiotic mistakes.
Who cares what corp or alliance they are in? The Platform is good. The message is good, and he has a proven track record of doing what is best for the game, and the people who want a dynamic universe to call home. |
