I would rather vote for someone who took the time and initiative to write an email in game to show he cares and solicit my vote than someone who didn't. Petitions and emails shouldn't sway you for voting for that person. He is just doing what has to be done to get the job. If he puts that kind of effort into being in the CSM then it is a good choice to vote for him.

You people that are so put off by a single email that can easily be deleted or ignored are pretty pathetic. Perhaps CCP should just remove the mailing system all together? While they are at it maybe they should remove chat entirely. I mean...if you can't ignore a single email then how can you possibly ignore chat?

I can understand how you would feel this way. Personally I figured he would send this out to everybody he could not just a select number of people. I didn't really see it as a negative thing at all. Frankly I am surprised that I haven't received more emails like his from other candidates. Either way...the rage and hate directed at him for such a simple thing is really rather idiotic.

Dude!! Dont spam my inbox with political "vote for me!!" messages. Thats just a sad way. Its bad enough in the real world when you get those stupid automated calls about elections or the spam election campaign signs that litter your city or town come election day, and thats neverminding the tv commercials and radio announcements.

Oh yeah, just wanted to let you all know that I'm taking names of those who are having issues. Gonna have me some fun with alts later on.

* I got confirmation from a senior GM that sending political email is perfectly fine, as long as I didn't repeatedly email the same people. Same as last year.

* I sat at the keyboard and sent out the mails using EVE-Gate. It was very boring and tedious -- sort of like mining, except for votes.

* The Mittani was so impressed he tried to pump me for information. I said I'd tell him my secrets after the election is over.

That still doesn't make your action tasteful.

I'm wondering how I, let alone 3 of my alts who never forum post or are in any Public chat channels made your list of likely voters and received this spam.

Two ways of doing this.

The Mr Epeen way: Open mail. Note it's nothing interesting. Close mail.

Everyone else: Open mail. Have an apeshit panic attack. Run screaming for the forums. Emopost insane drama in every thread they can find.

I like my way better. Although, yours is more entertaining.
