Its bad enough in the real world when you get those stupid automated calls about elections or the spam election campaign signs that litter your city or town come election day, and thats neverminding the tv commercials and radio announcements.

I opened my mailbox saw Trebor's spam and voted for Seleene instead.
Last year Trebor had my votes and I had expected to vote for him again.
Thanks to the javascript IGB API mass-mailing is pretty easy and you probably won't get CCP to do anything about it. Just vote with your votes.

The technical side of it is, admittedly, quite well done, but considering you are not the only one to do it(I got one from Blueberry Bold some 3.5 hours before yours) its more like a sign of badness to come.

Even though this was done by hand a) its still annoying as anything to me as I detest spam of any kind and b) someones going to start spamming evemail boxes soon enough looking for votes.

Seeing as everyone and their dog posts about crap on here they like or dislike. Well I happen to DISLIKE political messages of any kind. Whoever believes whatever it is.... to me its SPAM nothing else. Yes it got deleted as soon as it was opened and I realized what it was. Then I posted cuz I know that there are others that share this sentiment. I hated it in Jita... I hated it in the mission hubs... I hated it on the forums. Especially because its political in nature.

You are correct, this is no different than finding junk mail in a RL mailbox, or watching your junk mail folder fill up in your outlook. Because of this I treated this evemail no differently. I glanced at it and moved on. It didn't make me cry like a little girl. I didn't feel the urge to throw a tantrum due to some inanimate objects mere presence. I didn't even really bother reading it. I just continued with my life.
This has left me at a crossroad however. Do I vote for Darius for scamming stupid people into giving him free publicity, or do I vote for Trebor for inadvertently pissing off the thin skinned sensitives? |

I would rather vote for someone who took the time and initiative to write an email in game to show he cares and solicit my vote than someone who didn't. Petitions and emails shouldn't sway you for voting for that person. He is just doing what has to be done to get the job. If he puts that kind of effort into being in the CSM then it is a good choice to vote for him.

So...what? It isn't any different from making a post on the forums like every single CSM member did. You have the same option to ignore the mail as you did the forum post.
Seriously people...you act like he called your mother a 2 cent ***** or something. Get over it already. For Christs sake...he is one of the most if not THE most active CSM members. He actually works to get **** done and isn't in it for the free trip to Iceland. The responses from other CSM members in his own thread attest to that! Why do you get all butthurt over an email? Why would getting a harmless package of data bytes make you so angry as to not want to vote for him?
