All said and u got the Devs comments. Now i have to say that CCP must pay to have this
stuff in monthly basis, not me, and then CCP feeds me (eve community)as it works vice versa. So NO more payments pls! :)
Obviously CCP found a valueable asset from community and now CCP can spend their isk wisely, that means CCP hire John Rourke NOW! And give us episodes, ah and make a infinite inusrance scheme policy for J.R. and his crew, they need some love. (byu them better ship, tempest sux) hehehehe

Truly groundbreaking. As an avid fan of eve-fan-films, I can honestly, and without hesitation, put my voice firmly in the camp that says "this has NOT been done before." Not that it matters. Even if it HAD been done before, you would have left all of the competition in the dust. As an instant fan of your work, I sincerely hope you (and the whole team that did this) do more in the future. Pure artwork. Pure class.
The only thing I can say I missed out of the whole thing was the entire "pod experience". However, people floating in goo does not exactly make for very riveting character interaction. So, honestly, I don't know how you COULD have included that part of Eve without taking the crewmembers into some form of virtual reality interface when they "plugged into" their pods. Unless you were going for the fact that the people we met were all part of the ship's "biomass" component and we never actually MET the podpilot. Was that what you were going for? Or, did I just provide you with an interesting angle for a sequel? ;)
At any rate, very, VERY, well done! All my best, and I do hope to see more in the future.

Hello all  The threadnaught is still going then Again, I can't thank you people enough, you're all great!
I've run out of superlatives about how stunned I am, we have cleared 20,000 downloads at Eve-Files and I've no idea how much the mirrors have done, but I think I can relax now.
Thank you for fighting the Wikiwar for me lol, I don't think an avid red-vs-blue fan though (check his profile) is going to readily admit people might have done something maybe a bit "better" in a game that isn't called "Halo", bless.
I am awaiting contact from a nice chap (Zapatero) at E-ON magazine so hopefully some more mainstreamyish coverage there. If anyone wants to send PC Zone my way I'd happily talk to them too
Anyway, on Sunday the cast and crew watched it, all gathered together for the first time! It was a truly great moment in my life. And now I feel safe to say, as a thanks to you all:
Here's where it all went a bit wrong
Yes, it's "The Bucket", the place where bad voice acting went. Two and a half minutes of the stuff I could commit to film. Er I just realised it's not bleeped so mature viewers only please  (sorry if that breaks forum rules or anything, if so I'll replace it with a bleeped one sharpish)
Also check out Winterblink's latest cartoon on Warp Drive Active. No, we don't take ourselves too seriously at all
The website fell a bit by the wayside, sorry. I've got to rewrite the FAQ section as I guessed wrong on half of it, I need to get the links on there, I'm halfway through writing a "Using HL2 for filming" guide, and I'm also halfway through writing, what was it now...? Oh yes - episode two  The excitement for me is back, we've got an ace plot, and funnily enough that's what I'm spending most of my free time on - damn you all

I have a problem with the download link. It downloads a few k and stalls. Happens with all http://dl.eve-files.com/media files, dunno why but annoying as hell. Will wait for a mirror :)

I can't wait to see the finished version, I always imagined this is sort of like what Ambulation might be like. Only with more Source.
You should see if some on FPS Banana or Facepunch Studios or somewhere will create you some models & skins for all 4 race characters, if you do another.
But anyway, back to the point... I'm awesome :D |
