Lag was to be expected, but it was still playable if you are a bit patient.

FFS... this was lame... Thanks CCP for keeping me up all night just to see his shard in EVERYONE's hangar.... at least you could have made it worthwhile for ISK or something to the people in the system at downtime to test your **** nodes.... oh wait that's right you probably had your IT department run this event huh? like the art department ran the last event?

Bit of a disapointment, everyone had his alts at Oris. Only ones that attended with their mains seemed to be PIE.
Also, the lag..tbh i hadnt any lag, jumping into Amarr took me about 5 seconds! Warping and loading the station took me about 10. Good job!

I've never felt so dissapointed about anything in eve as much as I do over this event. I never expected to get anything out of it, considering the number of people who would turn up. But it wouldhave been nice for there to actually have been an event.
Instead we get 2 news items and waste a lot of peoples time.. well done... I'm logging and off to play something entertaining now since I'm stuck in a stupid system when there was actually no reason for me going. First event I've even bothered to attend since I'm normally at work, and its definatly the last.
Keenon: "After sitting in the system for FIVE hours without even a (go away)"...

This was most the ridicilous thing ever. If CCP wanted to say "screw you all" to us, they could just outright done it, not waste our time with a pointless lagfest turning into nothing. You end up with 500+ people on local moaning and yelling displaying a level of maturity that drops to new low's.
Please CCP for the future, stop waste our time, dont stage events because frankly you guys are no good at it. You made me and probably many others feel very cheated today. And one unit of "Complex Fullerene and Epidermis Silver" wont change that fact.

I think this event is about the same as the tortured prisoners in Iraq.... It's about as tasteful and about as inhumane to those that took time off... sacrificed sleep to share something on your dang birthday....
I hope honestly someone gets fired.... Or something gets explained on the dev blog....
That's my personal thoughts though...

An official response from CCP I feel is the very least the commuity deserves. As atm the vast majority of us feel that you must either be: a) Plain stupid. b) Taking the p1ss out of us.

Actually Veniel is in Caldari Prime collecting the body parts, so if you are close with your main you can try your luck.
The problem is that with 500+ players in the area it makes things quite difficult. If you played your alt specially for the occasion don't complain...

I don't see what the problem was, nobody was promised anything. The community worked itself into an unfullfillable hype. I enjoyed this event, even if the Jovian didn't physically come through the systems. And I doubt it is over already, this might have some effects sooner or later. (Then again, I am a role player, I enjoy events for the sake of the event, not necessarily the aftermath.)
Although I was hoping on using today to supply myself with cruise missiles from all the potential suicider's loot cans outside Oris.

I don't want something for free... I just wanted to see the freakin jovian in whatever ship he was going to come in... some of us aren't as fortunate to have been in stain when the last jove came around....
anyways... thanks for the waste of sleep... i appreciate the birthday gift of not being able to share anything exciting at all with you guys.... LAME... it's going to be my submission to PC gamer that the Game is great and the event staff doesn't give a rats butt about it's community...
