Vendorella Montreal Irishmen	Posted - 2008.06.02 23:09:00 - [1] I'm no friend of BOB, but.... I PREDICT: that RA will end up being more of a problem for EVE on the whole than BOB ever was. Rumor has it that they, from the direct opposite side of the map, declared that they want Fade, PureBlind and CloudRing, and have given the residents the "GTFO, you have 24 hours" speech. Arrogant, yes... but they have the numbers and the cap fleet necessary to pull it off. And if they do pull it off... that means even more high-end moons and 10/10 complexes for them to farm. I guess focusing on BOB for these past month allowed a Dragon to grow in the east. So... how many Rubles does it cost to buy 100mil ISK on E-bay, anyway? ---------------------------------------------- You are now reading my sig.... have a nice day!

Hell, I'd go so far as to list the superpowers as they stand: BoB Goons Red NNF And I would've said Triumvirate before they disbanded, and this is the reason a lot of people have so much respect for BoB. Edit: I want to add that yes I know RA are now a superpower in eve, and are in fact quite adept in their pvp skills. Very few can go toe to toe with RA. While I'm sure their initial disregard for the rules remains firm, I will admit that RA have in the past years become more "legit." It can reasonably be argued that alot of what RA has accomplished recently has been of their own merit, and as a result of their own PVP prowess. However, what I take issue with is how they got there. If you take away every event from RA's past that had a hint of un-intended game mechanic's use (especially the intentional node crashing), I've gotta believe RA wouldn't be around today, and I think the rest of you do to or you're ******* and you never fought RA during that time. That said, the same thing can be argued against the other two current powerhouses of eve ( though still especially for RA ), Goons and BoB. The russians. We were fed a whole lot of bull by Lotka Volterra during our time in MA, and this was one of the main reasons for me leaving the alliance to form IGNE and join sides with Goonswarm. Maelstrom leadership was running around after Neb kissing his backside and believing every word he said as gospel, which effectively hurt our relationship with IAC and brought the RA/Goon hammer down on our outpost. Not to mention the fact that we pretty much stole our space from the UNL corps that had been occupying the area for eons while we were still just LV meatshields in Cache. If you could step into my shoes for just one day, you would start to realise two very important things: 1. If anyone knows how to abuse the game to their advantage, it isn't RA, it's BoB 2. 99% of what you read about RA on these forums is bull****

Well, look at it this way. The game is about money for CCP. The day RA gets too big they will: A) nerf something B) ban something/someone Lets face it. The reason RA is a problem is because your corp sucks and will never take them on. When was the last time RA had a real challenge to their space? If you want to set things right, take up a position in Curse and start raiding into the RA/Goon heartland. It will be fun to watch. No one even camps their jump bridges, where you can get easy kills.
