Is anyone else other than me really excited about the forthcoming patch? LvL 1 and 2 sites sound like a right laugh, PvP old school style without all the dozens of extra ships we've been getting over the last few years, just good old fashioned pew pew awsome and who doesn't just love frig fights?
Anyway, aside from that what will people joining in do? Will you all be joining your race's merc faction or joining another i ask this because i think Caldari are the most heavy population in eve like both my chars (although i may be wrong) I'm tempted with jumping ship and joining one of the underdog factions! Certainly before i pass behond the point of no return on negative standings with them..
Anyone else looking forward to it or do you think it'll be a onesided mass caldari takeover of contested space?

Caldari are definatly about to become one uber fleet. Was on for the test on singularity and there was quite a few then.
Its gonna be a mess!!!! mess = fun = good times ahead!!!

Im well looking forward to it. Been getting a bit bored with eve recently so I'm hoping this will get me back into it.
Got a hanger full of frigs and cruisers at the ready.

Hmm so caldari will be the big blob then you think Thought that might be the case, hopefully i can join one of the other factions without jeperdising my agents R&D & Combat. Always liked being the underdog
It's been 2 1/2 years since i had a fight in a frigate, i really can't wait!

Actually the ships are no problem, .5 -> 2 mill a pop for a frig, is nothing to many peeps including me, of course i'll be using a jump clone without my +4's, but even so clones for me are 7mill a time, so if i get away without being podded a good few times i guess i can do this non stop for quite a while!

I just signed up a new account.
Since most of the fighting will be in smaller ships it's not going to be that much of a disadvantage :-)
Went with minmatar, they will be an underdog and there race -> bloodline has the best perception + willpower (ships and weapons skills!)

Good call sir. Minmatar's got some very good frigates, and the sensor-boosted trasher is an excellent podding machine. The stabber is excellent for hit and run missions, once you get cruiser skills.

I'm getting my standings up on this character now, after flying with the noob mercs, throwing frigates and destroyers away is nothing new here. Looks like it could be pretty cool, don't know about getting my main involved but maybe.
I'm going with the Min militias but i know quite a few people that are crossing races.
Bleak Lands here we come....or wherever the fight will be.

So are you looking forward more to the lvl 1 and 2 sites or have you sights on throwing BC, BS, HAC, comands into the mixer?
I'd like to do the higher sites but probably the frigs & cruisers will be more fun I Guess i'll see how it all works out

Must admit, I'm looking forward to it, but don't expect all fights to be frigs and cruisers. The bunker is fairly strong to take down so a few BS or a cap ship or 2 will be needed....
But yeah ...need to buy a few crows

I can't wait for FW. It will give me a good reason to progress to low sec without having to worry too much about big loses or wasting my time.
As a casual gamer I'm not in a corp right now and don't have the skills or knowledge to go floundering around on my own in low or null sec. This way I get the best of both worlds and I might then become a 0.0 convert after all.

Signing up my main (this char) fro Gallente, Looking forward to some back-to-basics fun. Hoping to fly all T2 Gallente + Minmatar Frigs for some fun and then T1 cruisers, but if it doesn't play out like that I'll jump in the bigger stuff. I'm optimistic about FW and getting a little annoyed with the whiners before it even comes out.

I'm just wondering, how do I find FW corps, looked in recruitment channel and most corps are just mission runners or 0.0 corps. Is there any current channel to look for FW only corps for your side you wish to chosse?

Yeh it is a bit annoying how so many people are moaning about this. I think this is the best patch they've thought up so far! It's a win for a lot of groups, pvp, pve, traders, industry types (i expect there will be a lot of stuff being exploded)

Hell Mutha******* Yeah! When I first heard about faction warfare all those years ago I immediately purchased a second account and started training up this character for it. All this totally uninterupted training and billions of isk invested in skills, implants and ships will now be paid in full and put to use.

You have to have an unmodified +0.5 towards your faction of choice to get in.

It's going live soon, but I'll wait and alt it for awhile to see how it turns out. This could seriously change so much of how people play the game. It will be interesting to see how much of the population jumps into it and what they plan on doing with it.
