Why are some of the corps here asking that new recruits have a faction standing of at least 0.5?
I understand that this is necessary for an individual joining a faction directly, and for a corp joining a faction, but it shouldn't be necessary for an individual joining a corp that joined the faction. For example, on Sisi the developers created four dummy corps, one for each faction, that characters can join in order to try out Faction Warfare, even if the character doesn't have 0.5 faction standing.

Furian, it is my understanding that the corp also has to maintain at least a .5 standing. Since corp standings are calculated using an average of member standings, bringing in members with less than the current corp standing will reduce the corp standing. If you bring in a bunch of folks with less than .5, it's possible to drop the corp standing below .5 and lose militia eligibility. This may not be a huge concern with large corps that have some buffer, but with new corps like mine, it is.
At least that's how I understand it to work.

I think most corps will wave this and only use it as a guld line, and can be waved for the right pilots(as long as ceo keeps an eye on standings). the corp as a hole need to have a .5 or beter standings to join and stay in FW.

Yeah, FW gives big faction gains, so once corps have a bit of a buffer, it won't be an issue, and then it may be a good way to get players with 0 standing (or even a bit negative) into FW.

If you are interested in a corp loyal to the Caldari State Strategic Syndicate is it. We just merged with a good group of PVPers from DQE and have a lot to offer. With the majority of our corp Caldari, our fleet strategy is for everyone to have some sort of shield logistic skills.We also ask that you have a 0.5 standing with the caldari state or higher. Our future plans are to join the Caldari militia after the next major patch. We have a great group of mature pilots who have direction, firepower, and love to have fun. oh but we only recruit by invite and referral, sorry (if this is a recruitment list, wasnt really paying attention tbh, just thought it was a general pledge of alliegance  )
