2008.06.07 13:17 The untimely death of fellow Bloodveil member Revan Neferis, on 2008.06.07, is a source of sorrow to me and her many friends in the corporation. Please accept our deepest sympathies in your bereavement. Revan Neferis was being reanimated at the cloning facility at the time when the fatal accident occurred. Revan Neferis was a fine Director and was admired by her fellow corporation members. Revan Neferis deserved their place at the top of CONCORD's most wanted list. They were without a doubt extremely evil, a true opponent of CONCORD's ideals of society. We will all miss her. I realize that words can do little to console you at a time like this, but I want you to know that we share your sorrow. Sincerely, Bloodveil
A great artist said one day that death was more universal than life because everyone dies but not everyone lives. Today it is with great sorrow that the Bloodveil pilots must announce the definitive departure of a great figure of Eve. Revan Neferis was not only a charismatic corporation leader, a powerful business woman and glamour jet-set lover, she also was a great soul driven by her passions and dreams. These dreams that she was always ready to share with all of us, these dreams that have changed so many of us and shaped part of the history of this universe.
She had countless ennemies, dozen of lovers and a few close friends but left no one really indifferent. It was her way to feel alive and, for sharing more than two years at her side, I can testify how a great life it was.
As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so life well used brings happy death. While some will feel a bit empty inside, others will rejoice of her departure and that's what she would have liked. I know she will keep us forever in her heart and that those who knew here will never forget. I know it was her decision and that she's now reliefed and happy of the thousand lifes she lived amongst the pod pilots.
Revan Neferis was very skilled with words and I know she wouldn't like me to write a long and boring speech detailing her deeds and past. Therefore, I simply invite those who knew her, who hated her and those who loved her to join me in raising their glass of wine to say "Cheers, Revan !" one last time. |

Nonsense. A statement such as this is nothing more than a mockery of the very ideology you claim to believe in and support. What a truly depressing sight, to see Revan of all people betray this.
These events bring the realization that I've been looking for answers in the wrong places. More than ever before I see that I am standing alone.
I'll raise a glass to your return, Sovereign. Until then you've nothing but my contempt.

If Revan Neferis deserves a place at the top of CONCORD's "Most Wanted" list then I think I am in the running for next year's Aidonis prize.
Revan Neferis was a heretic and a worthless *****. She will sully our name no longer.
I can only hope that she will be forgotten and all traces of her buffoonery be erased from the public record.

So that looney bat is dead? Huh.
It's odd. I never really knew her, or cared about what she and her freaky cult did. And yet, I feel a small, distant, but nonetheless extant feeling of loss.
Curious.

She was "extremely evil", was she now? Well, I won't exactly oppose that position, but I am quite curious about why you would celebrate this fact. If you consider her evil, why would you have followed her?
From my interpretation of her insane ramblings I much rather got the impression that she believe she was good, as in that her faith proclaimed the truths of how a strong and viable life is to live, and that the dogmas of (from her viewpoint) weakness found in the empires and various other places were evil since they did not celebrate these li***iving and strong practices she held to be true.
But well, I digress. Someone insane enough to follow that deranged ragdoll around cannot be expected to have even a slight grasp of the philosophies of ethics, I suppose.
That said, the effort I just spent on the above is probably all the effort she merited spending, but I guess I might join in on celebrations if the alcohol is exotic.

While I can't exactly say I liked the crazy old bat, I can't exactly celebrate her death either. It would be hypocritical, since I want to be remembered well when cloning eventually fails and my soul becomes so broken that it can't be stuffed into a replacement body anymore. Farewell, Revan, may you find peace in whatever afterlife one like you wishes for. -----

I simply can't believe this news, Jehandar.
Revan, may she rest in peace, introduced me to everything I know and hold dear within this universe. I knew nothing of Amarrian religion, the corruption of Tetrimon, the spite of CVA and their lapdogs before I met her. She provided me with such awe and intrigue that I still place my service to her, as her Prathet, the highest moment within my career.
I can't help but wonder what lies ahead for those members of Bloodveil. It's almost as though an entire era has come to an end - one that results in life becoming a little more boring and a little less exciting. Sure, the minions of CVA (and pets) may celebrate, but without the hatrid they have always felt for Revan, even they will feel an emptiness in her wake.
Revan made me what I am today, and I take great pride in that. I will continue to run my life with her ideals in mind, though it will never be the same.
I will miss you Shiras, more than you'll know. It was the highest honour flying with you, serving you, and learning from you. I feel that a part of myself has died with you, Shiras...

Yes, a cloning acccident is a hideous way to die, unlike being bled slowly, pushed out an airlock, left to suffocate under the weight of other people packed into a closed space, being attacked with viral agent...

Edited by: Stitcher on 08/06/2008 14:42:33 I'm with 3ll3 and Mr. Reeth on this. Death should never be celebrated. Even if there is just cause for celebration (having never paid much attention to Ms. Neferis' life, I wouldn't know whether there is or not) It's a bit... unseemly to be relishing her demise and speaking ill of the dead.

I doubt sorrow is what Revan would have wanted anyone to feel on her death, friend and foe alike.
A wild party and ritualised combat in her name would appear more fitting. A celebration of life and death that comes to us all.
I guess the messenger was mistaken for the message eh? -----------------------------------------
