I wouldn't worry, Luminaire has turned into Jita v 2.0, 400 people on grid. Took me 5 minutes just to undock from a station. |

You get damage messages when you shoot at it, but the shields aren't really moving. If it is killable, it's going to take like a couple of hundred close range gank fitted battleships or something to bring it down. |

On a related note the destroyed concord station in Yulai is pretty awesome and yulai was biusier than it has been in years hehe. |

The Empire titan used when the Serpentis stole one from the Gallente had insane stats, a fleet of 200/300 mixed 0.0 and empire pilots couldn't get it down very fast either. If those stats are similar, you will be needing *lots* of ammo. |

CCP switched system to dedicated node.
CONCORD now shoots anyone not in a militia that shoots the titan, i believe

ok i can deny that the titan fired a doomsday!
heres the story:
i wanted to check out to see what was actually in game of the story they made so i checked out some systems. Luminaire was the second on my route. when i arrived at the titan i saw tons of people shooting it and i thought cool, im gonna join in. but then someone in local came up with the idea of smartbombing the blob at the titan, and i thought to myself, damn that would be much cooler!
So i opened up the market, phoon on sale in luminaire for less than 60mil, nice! bought one. next the fitting: oursulaert is only 2 jumps away, so i went there, hooked myself up with 8 named plasma bombs, lots of plates and shield extenders, insured the ship and went back to luminaire. On the way back there i saw someone saying in local that hes going to smartbomb these guys too, well bad luck for him i was first! 
so after some emergency warps i arrived at the titan, loaded the grid. Next i checked my overview, lots of targets around, ok so lets go, and fired up my smartbombs. Im sure you can guess what happend next. yeah LAG!!! my phoon took prolly 7 minutes to explode and another 4 or so till i had entered my pod. congrats to mis Kity for blowing it up! sadly i didnt see much of the chaos i summoned upon the scene, but it was fun! Heres the outcome:

They remapped the node to dedicated according to a CCP guy in local. After that settled down things got better. Adjust your settings and the concorde blob isn't too bad.
They spawned a ton of NPCs just as things started to get ok though. These focused fire and with the lag quite a few snuffed it. The vultures are having a field day trying to grab all the loot and salvage but the smartbombers are taking a toll on them too 8)

actually they did most of the damage, 42k, but final blow goes to TenPin who had some ogre II launched who attacked me too. congrats for the kill. |

Maybe because a lot of people, even those in 0.0 alliances, never get to see titans? I played alliance stuff in 0.0 for a good 2 years and only ever saw one titan (probably due to my time zone). Empire dwellers have probably never seen one. |

100 players act together and have fun ... but some asshols better like to destroy all fun just to e-pen.

So some smartbombers took it upon themself to help the Titan and kill its enemys who were shooting at it..
Anyone who knows about Kamekazi Piolets should have seen this comming miles away. Simple solution dont fly by a war target with a shuttle.

Almost, the one you are thinking of is 'Agnus Dei', also by Samual Barber and it is essentially a vocal arrangement of Adagio for Strings. |

Can some Caldari Miltia pilots go there and help to save the Caldari Navy Titan? This might have some impact on the faction-war progress ...and we don't want Gallente scums to post stories like "How I destroyed the Titan in my frig", right? :D

neat looking and all, but why didn't they make it killable/defendable for the factions involved?
coolest thing i've ever seen was the sarpati spawn in fountain. THAT was something worth flying out to, a real event, not just eye candy. |
