Edited by: LORD OSMA on 10/06/2008 23:16:49 As many people will know.. caldari are the highest proportions of player in eve, simple maths would say that the majority of faction warfare players will be caldari pushing the other 3 race's into the corner |

Caldari will not rule FW. It will be a joint effort between the Amarr and Caldari. Unfortunately.
I really don't like the Heth. He appears to be a bit like ******. |

Well, a counterpoint to that is that only militia folks won't be able to go to Jita, and they have the second and third/fourth biggest trade hubs in the game anyways: Rens, Dodixie and Oursulaert. The market will be fine, and everyone should be able to get the stuff they want without having to go to Jita. |

They probably also represent the highest proportion of High Sec mission runners / industrial alts who wont want to risk their +5s and CNRs / Hulks in a battle over a bunch of low sec systems.

and thats a major problem, my main is a caldari fleet bs pilot, the fact is caldari rule in most bt not all things. and tbh around 45% of the people who will play fw will be caldari.. then allied with amarr probably a total of around 60-70% between them ( ok i am guessing bt it has a base tbh with caldari being most popular) so at most 40% between minnie an gally |

Actually...after talking with a couple of guys I know that got in on some of the FW testing on sisi, I would say that the caldari will ger their buts handed to them. Thats what was happening on the test server, if what I was told was accurate.

LOL, CCP finally implimented that jita fix all those foolish people have been QQ-ing about for ages - now 50% of all FW pilots will be vaporised on entering the system.
I've been saying for ages that you don't *need* to be in jita to sell or buy things, being near it helps. besides, there are other trade hubs. Rens and Hek are good for buying/selling as well, and they're less congested.

Yes, the Caldari are the most numerous race in EvE, player-wise.
No, not all of the Caldari players are PvP experts. Most of them aren't even PvPers. Far too many of them aren't even run by real people!
In the defense of the Caldari, I predict that the State Protectorate station in Nourvukaiken will be a hot-spot of FW activity. 4 high Quality Agents in the same station, 1 for each level? In a Hi-Sec system? With a Low-sec system right next door? In one of the busiest regions in EvE? |

Well I can safely say that our first Caldari Militia op was a huge succes... Our FC led 30 odd ships into battle to start with, ending up with maybe 50ish. We won 3 or 4 major fleet battles and took a few control points, while traveling through about 8 systems. I'd say all in all: HUGE SUCCESS! :D |

A few thoughts on the OP's predictions, some of which have been mentioned:
1) Many of the large pool of Caldari characters are pure mission-runners used for isk generation. These characters will likely not participate in FW. 2) Of the remaining population, a fair number of them feel no great loyalty to the State itself, but take on whatever cause strikes them as most noble ... or most lucrative. I know of a good number of Caldari characters who side with the Matari, for example. 3) Caldari ships are for the most part, not widely known for PvP excellence. The ships of their primary opponent, the Gallente, are.
In any case, we'll see how things form up in the next week or so...
