You do know that you can petition people you suspect of breaking the EULA dont you. As has been pointed out, your lengthy post contains a lot of "what if's". The truth is you have no way of knowing if someone is cheating. No way to be sure. Coming here and "telling" on someone is (at best) a waste of time. Here is why Whatever group is the target of this weeks "look at them cheat"-thread are unable to respond without fuelling the flames. Those who dont like the appearent offender, will support your claim. Those on the side of the accused (in this case me), will feel the need to point out the obvious. The vast majority simply dont have a clue. Instead of helping to colve the problem by creating a petition, you are hurting the community. Most players reading this will think 'maybe he IS right, and all 0.0 alliances are ISKfarmingrulebreakers. sigh another reason to leave and play WoW' Think about that for a minute... I am not saying you are not right, nor am I saying you are wrong about farmers and alliances, BUT. Coming here with you accusations wont do anything to solve the problem. CCP wont get the petition. CCP wont investigate. New players wont know what to think. Those who dont care will continue to do so, and those that already sopport your claim will feed the never ending threads naming random groups as cheaters. In fact sir. If it was up to me, YOU should be banned! But I am old fashioned, and if you gave me a banstick EVE would be empty by next friday.

I do know that a few BOB pilots hunt confirmed macrominers in BOB space.
doctorstupid2 The Accursed	Posted - 2008.06.15 16:08:00 - [34] At the risk of stating the obvious, the OP never said if he saw a raven on scan after jumping back into the system with the 3 pilots; it's not out of the bounds of reason that 1) the raven cloaked in the bubble, 2) the raven was a smart farmer and used MWD+Cloak trick thingy to a) move outside the bubble b) warp, 3) had logged out under cloak and was in warp back to the gate, 4) was already destroyed and somehow escaped with his pod. Ban the demand as well and people would think twice but then you lose subs. So it's a half measure which are generally pointless so you may as well allow it. There are stacks of isk farmers in alliances that are encouraged by some alliances. I'll put money on GMs being in one or two of those alliances as well. Because they ignore the most likely possibilities. What we have here is an alliance known to be incredibly rich by anyone's standards. To maintain this standard of living, they must be able to acquire huge amounts of ISK. The OP lays out an idea that BoB is selling ISK for rl money. That was in the followup post, and goes against the observation that they keep the ISK to themselves. If they are selling the ISK, then they wouldn't have the ISK in-game to do what they do. Farming ISK does not mean selling ISK. Lots of people farm ISK-- when you see someone in Alliance or Corp chat refuse to join an op because they have to rat for the next three days to buy another 90 day GTC, they are farming ISK. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. So perhaps Low Blow has an empire hauler by a name that ends in junke that is able to more efficiently rat than his main. It's in SWA because this is his ISK maker, normally running missions in Empire but today ratting because that is what he wants. Much simpler, does not rely on an outside agent or convoluted schemes to launder ISK. Although I am sure that Band of Brothers engages in ISK laundering to hide in-game money trails from others. This laundering probably involves alts in SWA. They have farmer names so others don't recognize them as having any connection with the alliance. This is perfectly in line with their social engineering and working to hide their assets from other alliances. I have an alt with a farmer name, because I didn't feel like trying to come up with a new name for someone who won't be doing anything important.

If it was his alt, it would be much easier to put it into BoB than to risk random gankage.

Nano Ishtar usually uses Ogres or Berserkers. Dictors don't do that much damage and are usually speedfitted. They probly didn't have a web between em. The raven could have probly slowboated to the gate and jumped out if he'd wanted to and tank em long enough. Maybe they figured that and decided it wasn't worth their time. Name him $randomCharString. b) get your corpmates to set him to positive standing. leave him in SWA c) position your pvp alt nearby, while you rat to your hearts' content d) if a solo ganker comes by, come with pvp alt and pwn him. otherwise, ss and cloak, wait for ganker to leave the system, then continue ratting e) have your alliance be accused of being a macroratter that participates in RMT just because you figured out how to rat in more safety than doing it with your alliance main. because you know, that if it had been a BoB raven ratting, you would have called in the blob to gank him. but because it was a lonely SWA pilot, you decided you didn't need to and tried to gank him by your lonesome.

Being in an NPC corp does not nessessarly instantly mean isk seller or newb. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase: Players who post are like stars, there are bright ones and those who are dim.
