For anybody who hasn't yet heard, a 25man fleet lead by Daniel Jackson just took the first solar system of the war!
After near constant captures of gallente deadspace complexes, a system finaly because vulnerable, and we took our chance.
The Gallente fleet arrived just as it was captured, to little too late :)
Again congratulations to the mighty Caldari fleet!

I was the first to spot the System had changed to Vunerable after capping an minor installation and an Outpost.
The fleet then proceedwed to kill teh bunker down to structure taking roughly 20mins.
Victory 1 Complete. (total plex caps have been in the 100's since start) Victory 2 In progress

Hardly going to give valuable intel like that away here ;) You'll just have to check your map.
And we've been capturing the complexes in the constellation since the start of the war.

Long days of grabbing plexes within Gallente territory starting to pay off. And soon there will be more vulnerable systems there, while Gallente forces waste time on noobswarm in Tama we shall take their systems from them until they have none left

Congrats and all (tho you caldari are scum) but...
...what exactly does this do for ya? You get some cred and a celebration and you did a first but what does this mean now?
I am not in any way trying to take away from you accomplishment or start another 'elitest says big whoop' thread. I am truly interested in the significance of taking a system.

Heh, looks like the Gallente are going to have to get off of their asses and start capturing some complexes instead of just picking off the Caldari stragglers. ---------------- Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.81 (Updated 4/8) |

Very simply, the system now belongs to the caldari state. This is but the first of many efforts to push you back to your own high security systems :)

But what does that entail? Can't they still go there just like before? Exactly what changes?

We figured completing all the plexes would be a sinch once we'd wiped the Caldari race out of existence

And we've been capturing the complexes in the constellation since the start of the war.
A system is 'locked down' once it is lost and cannot be retaken, so it's not really 'valuable' info atm, I don't think. Still, I can wait till I get home and ask in the caldari militia channel.
I know we've been capturing complexes since the start of the war, I most likely helped capture some in that very system :p I'm curious to know how many total were taken (if we have a count). I know it takes more than 6 to make a system vulnerable, just wondering how many more.
Anyway, good show, team!

Focusing on Tama does indeed seem to be the best strategy for 'wiping us out'. Hell, it's clearly working so far :)
