This. Clicking "browse" from the Fittings window will open the Fitting Management window, but minimized, and I'll have to click the neocom icon a few times before it comes up. Then the personal fittings window is empty. My corporate fittings are also bugged. Some fits show up, but if I click 'em, they don't show the fit as such. I can, however, drag 'n drop the fit-name to a chat window, and then proceed to click that, to see a given fit. If I navigate back to personal fittings after looking at corp. fittings, it does not refresh the thing - that is, the corp. still show.

Adding to this, my other account's personal fittings etc. work fine. It's just on one toon. The toon in question does, however, have 40(-ish?) fits, while the other account has 4. Could this have something to do with it? |

Callidus Dux wrote:I think, that it has something to do with the new (unwanted) renaming of some modules. It seems that, if you have a fitting which contains a module with a newer (but not better ) name, the server trashes all these "special" fittings becaus of invalid and not findable names. I am one unlucky person with an old backup of my fittings (July 2010) and a lot of shield modules and some MWD modules. The same modules with new names.
I can say with certainty that this is not the deal (well, with as much certainty as one person can have with only client-side information). The other account has fittings with the renamed modules in 'em. It's working fine. Basically everyone I've asked also have working fitting management window. Seems like there are just a few odd ones out.
I did not have a backup of my fittings. D: Which is annoying, since I had all those nice CONCORD and whatever fits. (including the cockroach and the infested dominix). |

Dude, spamming every single bloody thread isn't going to help you. Relax. At least you can play the game, not to mention that you actually had your petition answered. There are people who can't get in game at all. People who are stuck on update loops and whatnot. The devs are obviously already aware of your problem. They're probably working on it. But there are more serious issues at play here, and they have to prioritize.
Chill, take a run outside or have a nap. Check back later and see if it's been fixed, if not, check back tomorrow. Just relax.

No, I don't think I'm more important than others. In fact, my issues are pretty minor compared to what other people are experiencing. But spamming won't help you. I'm also fairly certain that CCP is doing more or less everything they can to fix the issues people are having. But they can't magically fix everything in 15 minutes.
Also, remember a bunch of the other patches? Give it a few days for the hotfixes and whatnot. Every EVE player should be aware that patch day should be plural. ;) |

Just wanted to say that my fitting management window is still broken. (linky)
Other than that, patch day went smooth for me. Thank you CCP. :)

Acthiliak wrote:So why do I suddenly have to launch a launcher that adds zero features or functionality to my previous Eve experience, but goes a step further from being absolutely useless and actually becomes an annoyance because now I have to click extra buttons arbitrarily and the launcher doesn't close itself when I click Play, so yet another arbitrary click has to be made.
What was the point of this launcher?
You can set it to close when you start EVE, it's in the settings. You can also set it to only open when there's an update.
The launcher has been launched to bring you MOAR eve news quicker, and deliver patches faster. When they get the client updates (the optional ones) in the launcher, you'll launch the launcher, it'll update your game, and there will be no need for client restart.

Launcher failed to update my client with the newest patch. Here's a trace: http://pastebin.com/w3KuAwgu
Edit #2: Oh, to avoid having to scroll through all that, it's a "file already in use" error: WindowsError(32, 'The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process') and the file in question bin\\debug.log)
I'll restart and see what happens.
Edit #1: Just restarting the launcher and it says my client is up to date, whatd'ya know. |

Had this as well. I've been online since downtime (which is when I got the error), though, and no problem yet. |
