In any case, that setup is crap because the X-L booster eats your cap and all you have to improve your recharge rate is a heavy cap injector. That sort of situation is only viable if you can do so much damage that your opponent will die before you run out of cap. Given that Raven's do crappier damage than blasterthrons, this isn't a viable concept.

Here is the summary of what I believe its most useful idea is:
Increasing the powergrid requirement on turrets is TomB's idea for making the Raven hard to fit. This is well and good but while the turret users have their meta-modded turrets and launchers that they can fit to accomodate their small CPU AND have CPU enhancers, the Raven only has the option of fitting RCUs to get around its small powergrid.
What I am asking for is a balance so that the named primary weapons of the Raven and the Scorpion have decreased powergrid usage such that there is a way to partially get around the fitting requirements without resorting to RCUs. I think this is perfectly fair and it makes alot of sense. The turret users, who are restricted more by CPU than by powergrid, aren't stuck with only decreasing the powergrid of their main weapons so why should the Raven be stuck with only decreasing the CPU of its main weapon?

Thats a promising setup, although the cap recharge rate is a tad low for an X-L booster.

The Megathron is a great ship and is already balanced. There are plenty of things wrong with the projetion of EVE fiction onto EVE reality, but that does not mean that the balance of the game should be changed to match the story arcs. Rather, the story arcs need to be fit around the proper balance of the game.
