As far as I can tell the launcher just stopped working on the morning of the 8th. The only thing that has updated on my PC recently was Steam. Even if I shut that down, though, it makes no difference.
EVE itself runs fine if I do not use the launcher.
I'm experiencing this too. Have tried to use the repair tool, removing all my CCP User data, running the eve.exe from it's install directory... nothing seems to work. |

Same problem here ... noob question: how do you bypass the launcher to run the game?
C:\Program Files (x86)\CPP\EVE\bin\evefile.exe
This is the way I have to launch EVE, they haven't fixed the launcher freezing yet. Every day, I run the repair tool hoping it downloads a fix. |

I've been unable to reproduce the problem with the webpage stalling and you've already said that you've cleared the cached data in the EVE Launcher, so I'm afraid I've no suggestions on what you might do to fix the problem. As a final idea, you could always try and re-install the EVE Launcher, and see if that fixes anything. Thanks CCP Atropos, launching this executable seems to have fixed my problem. I was able to run the launcher and log in. Thanks again. |
