no such thing as an overpowered buffer tank. if there were as many titans and motherships as nanos, nanos would still die a lot less.

My Bhaalgorn Buffertanked with slave clone and hardwiring has around 313k EHP with around 82k armor id say thats pretty stupidly high in all honesty

What's a good fit for a nicely buffer-tanked torp Raven? I haven't been all that successful in getting a lot of HP on one without destroying the DPS and/or shield resists in my experience.
And what's the fit for a 28k HP Megathron?

That would be a max, excluding implants, of 28.54k HP - however the resists are really bad. So no other hardners/DC in the other slots???
Or does this fit usually go along with spider-tank?

other slots are a DC and 2 damage mods big ass guns and the stock mega mids
its not max max would be no damage mods and stuff

I see - in that event, the tank would be superior to the buffer tank Raven fit I use, but the DPS would be significantly inferior too, however.
Good thing about the Buffer torp raven is that you can have both a lil easier - but there is only enough room remaining for just 1 medium sized remote rep/transporter, or instead, 2 medium nos's.
Torpedoes obviusly have the disadvantage of hitting smaller/faster ships, but they have a range advantage and damage type advantage at the same time as well, and it's obliviously riskier to predict/fit against missile damage. Other disadvantage is that it's can only serve a role as a damage dealer, not any room for web/points/painter, unless you want to bucher the tank. Have to leave that role to gangmates, and/or drop drone DPS for painters.

Only ship I can think of that could be named a incredibly overpowered buffer tank ATM Would be on a Abaddon - The Abaddon, or the Rokh even, I can totally see as being a incredibly hard mofo to kill. Buffertanks are overly common between a lot of battleships, the Mega and Raven in particular, but they usually die as fast as they kill.
Whenever I have a run into another gank ship, and it ends up tanking very well, it's only because the pilot had a better fit, and/or had remote assistance - can't blame the ship for being overpowered because the pilot spent more ISK and had a superior fit then mine, and may of had some help with him.
Though that doesn't happen often, It's kinda stupid and pointless to attempt to charge in and solo someone when they have a few ships orbiting him with remote reps on his buffer-tanked battleship. Perhaps part of the whines could be eliminated if people were not so un-rightfully overconfident :P
