Had an awesome day today! For over 8 hours we had up to 5 corpmates running Level 4 missions in Amarr space. (They're still going, I had to leave) Great fights, great loot, even a short encounter with some ninja looters! Where else can you do these things in an all day adventure with your corpmates?

We had another great Euro-friendly lvl 4 mission evening on Thursday organised by Ledia. With six of us there, we were able to completely overpower the mission rats, suck up some lovely salvage and banter about each other's ships and fits at the same time. I tell you, when you have Minnie and Caldari ships in the same mission, the fur really starts to fly!
These events are run regularly in C.O.R.E. - salvage to the corp coffers, bounties and loot split between participants. If you want to know more about us then pop over to our forums and see for yourselves.

CORE: A Members Perspective

What does that mean to the everyday player? For many it will mean very different things depending on your perspective, allow me to share mine...
My journey to New Eden took place before her doors were fully open to the universe during beta testing. In the years since I've been Known as Pheonix Talyn, Freya Mjollnir, and currently Kira Hitomi. In that time I've been a miner, mission runner, builder, scout, spy, hauler, and pirate. I've done a little of everything and a lot of a few things. I've been in every region, seen the creation and destruction of Titans, fought against rogue Jovian generals, flown with the best and worst of New Eden, witnessed the rise and fall of corporation and alliance alike.
I've been part of great victories, battles, and terrible defeats. In all that, after all this time I've also very rarely been little more then a number. A disposable tool to be used for the furthering of others needs and wants...
That was until I Joined CORE... Upon Joining CORE I found like minded, mature people dedicated to there professions, helping each other all the while having fun as fully integrated members of a group. Not mindless numbers or tools. Everyone doing what they do best, whether it be miner, builder, or missioner; Without threat or demand, all the while making CORE successful. Things of importance are voted on by its members, everyone has the freedom to share there views and opinions...
I asked when I joined CORE, "What can I do to help?" The response I got was, "What do you like to do? If you like to mine, then mine. If you like to mission then mission." I was fully surprised, freedom to pursue the things I enjoy doing without the 'be here, do this or else' something all too common to so many other corps and alliances. The only exception to this policy being, player versus player combat is strictly forbidden unless defending oneself or other CORE mates and even then only as a last resort.
Having agreed to its policies and procedures, I thus began my career in CORE. Since joining I've been part of something truly unique. I've been part of level4/5 Mission Ops, Mining Ops, and even been part of (and on a few ocasions lead) some Wormhole Ops... I've been able to help in ways that let me maximize what I'm good at and contribute to CORE all the while allowing me to feel as if I've succeeded in a personal project involving the whole of CORE. This has been my unique perspective of CORE and what it is...
I've had a few captains and officers tell me, "Thank you for your help". To this I say, "No, let me thank you, it was your votes that allowed me to be here, to be part of something unique. In all my years of being part of New Eden, I've never felt more like part of the whole, nor have I had as much fun, felt as welcome or met as good a people as I have here in CORE".
"Thank you very very much!"
