At abt 1:30 am EVE time today .
A Squadron of Winston Inc (WIN) ships arrives in Obe.
Rather strange sight .. seeing as is that the corp has no assciation with the area whatsoever.
The squad consists of 5 BS , at least 3 cruisers , numerous frigates.
Our allies gather info that the corp has been hired by no other than a$$wipe of CDI to eliminate ...........(wait for it) PLD! (For those of you who have been tuned in the last week .. you will remember CDI attempted to hire PLD to kill RKK,Jeric,Rev0l amongst others.)
Anyhow. Their force was scouted .
We gathered (us and allies) a force of exactly 9 ships. 4 BS rest Frigates.
And we jumped in to P3N.
Battle ensued.
The hired guns were slaughtered . No mercy was afforded. No quarters given to pods.
Losses:
ENEMY: 4BS ( 1 Megathron(Gudrodour) , 1 Scorp, 1 Apoc (Courg3s)(tis fellow was also podded by me). , and 1 Tempest.
They also lost frigs .. but we dont count those as kills.
US : 1 Rifter and 1 kestrel.
Anyhow thanks for coming out WIN. Hope CDI replaces ur ships.
O and yes...
Famous last words from a WIN member as they jumped into P3N ...."We are here to take care of the pirate menace"

LOL yes Project Mayhem was there as part of the pirate force that squished these nublar panzies. I think it is quite cute that WIN had the gall to talk smack BEFORE we even engaged them lol! Though I give them respect for not IMMEDIATELY running from an even force.
One thing that makes my heart glow is the thought that Cyberdyne will be replacing these ships piloted by noobs. CDI, come do your own dirty work! You want to get rid of us, COME FIGHT US YOURSELVES . . .

what's the difference between that and begging a pirate corp to come help you fight off people?
could the CA be filled with any more hypocrits? really reclaimer, everyone knows youre big into eating your own words, but have you no dignity? save us corp 1, save us! we'll give you free membership! oh, and celest doesn't hunt pirates... right. the CA is filled with the scum of the universe these days. you don't even try to deny it anymore. |

Yep Apparently this is all CDI business which does not mean the entire alliance acted as a whole just because CDI is a member come on guys don't be so prejudice!
and also i think pld made it clear in the post it was CDI that sent the merc force.

Was a very nice battle, shame the fraps got corrupted. I dont remember the tempest but I saw a dominix, geddon and megathron go down for sure. Plus the omen and frigates that got wasted. As always a pleasure fighting along side PLD.

Well.
First, you expect an alliance to set some rules for its member corps to abide to; and when some of those corps get out of line, you expect the alliance to remedy to the situation before it degenerates. Correct? So whether PA likes it or not, CDI actions DO involve PA at some stage or another.
Second, I would let your comment pass if it wasn't for the fact that CDI is supposedly acting on its own, when in fact they are using PA resources - with or without the consent of the PA council, that's another matter.
My point is, you cannot be acting as a rogue on one hand, claiming that your actions have "nothing to do with PA", only to go hide behind the alliance might when things start to go wrong. Likewise, the PA cannot eternally reject political responsibility of some of its member corps' actions, and yet shelter - or even worse, actively support - these same corps when, again, things go wrong.

If we follow this logic, then the CA is at fault for pirating in Vale of the Silent, right? Isn't Palladins in the CA?
What bothers me is when a PA corp does something (on their own) it's a PA problem, but if a CA corp pirates it's not a CA problem?
Double standard?
