I'm curious why CCP, as a progressive company, has downtime EVERY day, often extended downtime. Most contemporary MMOs get by with one downtime a week. I think CCP should take a look at what Blizzard and Funcom and mimic that downtime behavior as a courtosy to its playerbase

If you are tired of all the people on the same server you could go start your own. As far as I know that is the primary difference...

Incremental backups, stealth server-side changes, history database trimming, etc.

I think you need to understand the HUGE differences in server-side architecture.

downtime is when CCP off lines random modules on peoples ships for luls.

Question for you. Does the WoW which you so seem to love, give all its bigass patches, for free? No? then stop complaining. Each game has its own benefits, get over yourself.

Or we can keep a system that will not:
1. Result in the veldnought eating its way through all the veldspar in the amarr system and moving onto the moons in a day
2. Result in jita forming a black hole after 2 days that would suck in the rest of the galaxy over the next week before finaly imploding.

OMG i tried logging in to server to change skill, but I can't which annoy me bad, how to fix extended downtime?!!
SUSPEND ACCT!!!
I cant log in at all anymore.Will not pay for something i cant play!
Super angry and dissapointed..
4 mo. of this i think i have been more than patient!

The extended downtime today was necessary for the deployment of several server side changes to Tranquility.
