The state of the BIG Lottery so far
Number of participants so far : 4,228
Value of tickets sold so far : 3,349,580,000 ISK
Pot including sponsorate : 3,374,580,000 ISK
I'll try to be brief in this newsletter.
But I just have to let out another : WOW
3.3 Billion+ ISK and still some days to go - it's mindblowing really.
And 4K+ unique ticketbuyers... Even subtracting the 'alternate personas', thats still a ton of ppl.
This round of the lottery is without a doubt the BIGgest event ever in the EVE universe (if counting number of participants)
Very fitting for the 1 Year Anniversary round of the BIG Lottery 
Due to the stupendious pot size we are looking at, round #28 (the next one) of the BIG Lottery will be special as well.
There has been alot of discussion on the GalNet about how to go about this. Also some confusion...
So let me eradicate at least one point of confusion : Round #27 of the BIG Lottery (which is the 1 Year Anniversay round) will only have 1 prize - The Imperial Issue Apocalypse.
Round #28:
We have (internally) more or less decided on how to do things in round #28.
In order to not start any confusion, we will wait until monday, after the drawing of the Imperial Issue Apocalypse, to reveal excactly what will happen in round 28.
I'll reveal this much though : There will be 3 prizes up for grabs (instead of the usual - "Winner takes all").
I should probably also add, in order to prevent anyone pre-maturely going on a ticket buying frenzy, that there will also be a (changed) limit, on the number of tickets you can buy in round 28.

Buying a passport allows you entry to the Fountain Region for hunting purposes (no mining).
A passport costs 1M ISK for a day, and 5M ISK for a week.
