C'mon CCP guys! Have some respect for Mac Users Community here and give us some real and concrete infos about the future of mac version and the adoption of premium gfx in particular!
I love this game, but you're ridicolously delaying some kind of answer or release date for months! Incredible way of thinking about "consumer satisfaction".
Incredible!

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. Been two weeks now. Just admit it that you don't have anything.

I made a rough timeline, emphasize on 'rough', timeline following the last 5 months-->
And I like to start with the words by CCP Whisper in the "Trinity 1.1 Patch Timing - >>> Now with Patch Notes" thread from 2008.03.07 Quote: Now, while I can put my hand on my heart and claim with total honesty that there were good reasons to not deploy a Mac patch sooner, I cannot do the same for my omission to inform you, the users of the Mac client. One of the main things which makes EVE Online special is the degree of interaction the developers maintain with the playerbase, and not keeping you informed about something like this breaches that relationship. For that I apologise, and I will do my best not to have this happen again.
Next moving forward in time

the post you pointed out has an easy answer.. something CCP Whisper knows the answer to, and can respond to with a short answer. Our (and the linux issue) is a tad more complex.
PS CCP I am finding it hard to keep defending you .. please at least throw us a bone.

If you chuck on test server you can see that everything renders properly. I would hazard to guess and I bet if somebody would actually respond this is the deal.
There is a problem that hits Linux 0% of the time and Windows 0% of the time however it hits mac for one reason or another thus invisible stations in Crossover Games. Give it a look if you do not believe me. I think CCP is working hard to resolve this.. Give em a break :)
BTW I have personally verified this and I am not one to defend a gaming company. I just call it as I see it.
One more edit. I acheive higher FPS in Test Server with premium on Crossover Games than I do with Classic Content in the client.

Actually, stations (and stargates and capitals) didn't render in premium graphics/wine on geforce 7 series cards. This has been fixed though.

Seriously is that needed? I explained above what is likely the problem and you can even verify it yourself. Please do the Dev's a favor and respond nice and not this garbage.. Its no wonder they wont speak with you. I know I would ignore if I were them.

Yes, that could be the TECHNICAL problem, but I also haven't seen a single dev actually telling anything about it. This isn't so much about the premium client, it's about the lack of communication.
Unless that technical problem somehow affects the physical movements of typing. Which I doubt.
Also, they already stated that the blog has been written, but it's in "tech" so they need to translate it. So all and all...they have the material already... If it's THAT hard to understand and make it readable then CCP needs some serious documentation systems.

Well, that's pretty much the most uncertain answer I've ever seen. However, Casqade just responded to the another thread in this forum concerning flickery graphics, so it's evident that the devs at least read the forum, but they seem very tight-lipped about the dev blog and anything having to do with the dev blog.
My bright-eyed, sunshine-vomiting optimism suggests me to think that they're keeping under wraps the fact that they've somehow redesigned the premium client in a native environment with OpenGL. And when they finally reveal it to us we'll weep with joy and lavish deifying praise upon them and offer to have their children.
But that seems as remote a possibility as any.

Almost drowned myself in my cup of coffee. I can understand that they wouldn't release the client, nor details. But creating a s**tstorm just due to not communicating is...well I have no idea behing that market trick. They could have just said "wait for two months" and we would have been "great, two frigging months...oh well, time to do missions". Now it's "where is it!! it's been two months when you said one week!!! WTF!!
I really must be missing some marketing trick...and I happen to know something about that. Oh well, perhaps I should buckle myself up and get ready for a communication extravaganza!!! (...not)

Hi.
I read a lot of things from the forum. I enjoy helping people out with their issues, finding out what is currently new and reminding people to bug report their problems. But when I look at the latest page on this forum I see maybe 2-3 threads where I could go in and provide some help.. Ok, just did it. The rest of the threads are about Dev blog and the premium graphics. Like Lingorm said, it has been delayed. And rather than saying "Next week", we will say "Soon" and "when it is ready". I understand your frustration, but let me assure you; we still like you, soon and when it is ready.
Please keep the "bright-eyed, sunshine-vomiting optimism" up, it is inspiring, even though we are not redesigning the premium client in a native environment with OpenGL.

DAMN! Well, can't win 'em all, I guess.
All this means is you'll have to optimize the everloving **** out of the cider client.
