But is it possible that you might explain how you get acces to the data from eve? I know eve now have an API but for the love of god if i can figure out how to acces and procces the data. Your page on induvidual alliances members, joined etc .. how do you get that out? Offcause you dont have to tell but i would be rather greatfull if you did or if you can throw some links at me where i might read up on the subject. And where is the corporation now? I can already imagine that pirates and gankers would check a 0.0 region for npc killing activity (in the last hour) in the map to decide where to find ratters. BACKGROUND: I've several jobs running that collect the api data ccp provides. Some ressources getting updated more often (jumps, kills, etc) others only once a day (with several trys to get the right information. If you get the alliance list, CCP provides you list of all member corporation IDs including the startdate. If you know start a database that updates those entries without deleting the old ones, you can get a decent history. (For example when a corp don't is anymore in an alliance it's not listed as member corpid in the alliance xml api export. To get more informations (like name or memberCount) you've to do single api call for each corporation, but you can only ask those who're part of any alliance. You won't get informations about non alliance corp via API. So with around 6000 corps you've to do many queries and i hope that ccp don't see a DoS in that number of calls i do only once a day. Sov Updates are also only called once a day, with several tries until i get a correct, recent and updated Sov Data Export. Everything else is just a matter of php scripting, mysql database for storage all kind of information, procedding the data from the api calls, compare and merge with CCP's static database export.

So it kinda skews the numbers For the Sov Winners i count only Systems that just got Sov 1 in the last days For the Sov Loosers i count Systems where the current Owner is not the previos Owner the Day before. But when you compare the systems graph of you're alliance, you should see that the numbers of System Shadow... got in the last days went up pretty high. So i'm sure that the number should be valid. I can do this now. When i started to implement the outpost owner stuff i only saved the alliance names in the database. But now i've more data and i'll check out, how it's best way to show the holding corp, without split into 2 lines for each outpost in the listing. I had one idea though - which is it would be nice to be able to see corporation ranking and history graphs in the same way you can alliance ones. (i.e. how many members the corporation has over time).

I updated the evemaps page again. - added a blog for news/comments - with the quantum rise patch/extensions, ccp rerouted some stargates. These routes are already updated. I've several jobs that're updating their data during the day. - Jumps, Ship/Pod/NPC Kills: every hour - Sov: I'm starting 2 hours after downtime and try to fetch sov data from CCP. CCP is having an issue with their api caches sometimes, and even 2 hours after downtime i'll get outdated result from before downtime. But i'm having several trys after that every hour from different ips (because of the 6 hour caching delay, in the case the previos fetched sov data is outdated). I've reported a bug some weeks ago and i'm hoping ccp is fixing this issue. - Alliance, Faction Warfare, Outposts: Are updated after i fetched a successfull sovereignty update. - Corporations are fetched once per day, but i can update only corporations that are part of an alliance. Next time, just relax and wait until 14 o'clock (eve time) :-P I hope this info helped you to get some info. On that note one for constellations wouldn't be bad either, but the region one would get more use. Just a list of all the alliances with sov, maybe some graphs on the total ship kills or jumps over the last month, perhaps even going back further. I'd love to look at that kind of info about my region and I'm sure others would too.

As i'm one of those people that doesn't have a colour printer I'm wondering if it would be possible to use different boxes for high/low sec. systems. Of course you can see the true sec on the PDF but different boxes make it easier to see in just a glance. Other than that i have to say it again, your maps and the rest of the info on the site is fantastic.

I'm using the original CCP Static Database Export which also includes the mapSolarSystemJumps. Would be nice if you can give me some example.

Jumps: 31 days * 1440 minutes (24h) * 5431 systems = ~150 MB Kills/Pod/NPC: 31 days * 1440 minutes (24h) * 5431 systems = ~200 MB Just the graphes (which are drawn using the Google Chart API (i was to just lazy to write my own graphs)) are limited for 48h. When I started, I wanted to collect the data first before adding more sites. Perhabs I'll add a "more details" page for the system
