Jump Planner Update http://evemaps.dotlan.net/blog/2009/07/21/avoid-my-backyard/
You can now add Regions and Systesm to the "Avoid List". For example if you wanna make your way out of deep 0.0 space and don't cross the region of an alliance which is not friendly/napped with you or systems which are perma cyno jammed and/or heavyly camped.
Example:
Direct way: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/jump/Thanatos,444/319-3D:Futzchag
Alternative way with 2 regions on the avoid list: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/jump/Thanatos,444,A:Querious,Providence/319-3D:Futzchag
Feel free to test it and send me feedback or whatelse :-)

http://evemaps.dotlan.net/blog/2009/07/26/bye-bye-flash/ I replaced Flash Maps for IE Users with VML Maps. The SVG equivalent from MS (only for IE Users because IE don't support SVG)
http://evemaps.dotlan.net/blog/2009/07/28/colorized-maps/ I was more working with javascript to get the SVG and VML Maps more colorized. If you now take one map and change the info layer to Sov, Security, Jumps, Kills, NPC Kills or Moons the Systems will get colorized.
But what do IÆve to say more expect take a deep breath and enjoy the pictures and updated maps.
P.S. The moon colors are linked with my moon mining database. If thereÆs a R64 moon in specific system it will be displayed red, dark orange if the max rarity moon is R32 and so on. The same colors like the moon mining database. Here again the call. If youÆve moonscans from regions please feel free to email them to me.

What program do you use to make the tactical maps? Is it Visio?
I'd help you out and do the tactical maps if I knew what program you used.
Can I request that you add:
Cloud ring to the Pure Blind/Fade/Deklein tactical map.

I'll try to see what I can do. Eso/Para and Feyt/Omnist Maps should be not complicated. To the number of regions: 2 is easy on a single DIN A4 map. 3 is doable and still good readable, 4 Regions on a single map is unreadable and very hard to arrange. That's why there'll be likely no map for Omnist/Tenerifis/Detorid/Immensea. To many systems to move around and in the end everything is unreadable.
If I can add Cloud Ring to the Nothern Map around Pure Blind ... i've to take a look.
I'm not using visio to arrange the systems. The Map Editor is integrated in the admin part of my page. And depending on the number of systems to unwite it takes between 2-5 hours and 2000+ mouseclicks (for moving the systems around) until i'm happy with the result.
I'll report back if I can make some new maps.
Btw. if you like my work, feel free to send me a donation :-)

Edited by: Wollari on 25/08/2009 22:50:52 Blogged: Colorized Maps 2 / Statistic History
I updated the info layer system for the maps. You can now better switch between the info layers on the map (Sov, Security, Kills, etc). It also saves the current selected layer with a session cookie to keep it synced if you switch between the regions, etc.
But in my opinion the best update now is the possibilty to scroll back in the history. Not only with Sovereignty Statistik! I've updated the javascript libs and interface and you can now also scroll back 30days in the history for Jumps, ShipKills and or NPC Kills. That way you can easily determe if a particular system/constellation/region is beeing used active in the last days. If you scroll back you'll get the kill summary from downtime to downtime, etc.
Example: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Scalding_Pass/2009-08-25#kills24 (today, 2009-08-25) http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Scalding_Pass/2009-08-22#kills24 (2009-08-22) (hint: those links only work in the next upcoming days, because my stats are only saved for 30 days)

Hi John
sorry, the last time, when I was reworking the information overlay for the maps, I removed the security class in the dropdown section, because I thought their would not make much sense and/or not many people are using that them. Anyway, I readded them again and also gave them some nice background colors, so you can plan your mining op better :-)
Check this: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Tribute#class
I suppose that's what you want, right?

More updates, cause I was lazy to update this thread:
For the last point: I'm working on an special IGB Version for the upcoming expension. CCP is planning to integrating a new Ingame Browser based on webkit/chrome. I already tested it on SiSi and all i can say: It's great. Everything is working apart from them problem that a white page on a dark space background is making your eyes bleeding and not everybody has the browser window at fullscreen while playing. But I'll work on that.
Do you've any ideas what the ingame browser version should be more capable compared the the OOG Version?

If you speak about the Location Infos I get as browser, if the site is trusted then yes. That feature is already planned and already working.
http://evemaps.dotlan.net/radar/
But it's currently not working because CCP blocked all non-CCP Websites on SiSi. The radar page should show the region map in which you're currently in your active system highlighted.

Thank you for a great service! You have statistics such as: "Most violent regions (24 hours)". Would it be possible to extend that period to say: week/month/year? Same for system and perhaps add constellation too. Just a suggestion that would make this stat-nerd drool even more over your awesome site!

Not yet. But I've started to enhance my statistics a bit. The problem with everything is the ammount of data. The ammount of data is just insane (400-500mb) for the current stats. I'll always doing improving the database for a) new features b) more stats and c) speed optimization.
I'll try to motivate my self to write a blog entry soon to show you some of the new great features I've in the pipe.

First of all, Wollari, thank you for what is by far the best OOG tool I've ever seen/used for ANY game. Thanks!!
I'm wondering if you might consider adding a checkbox to the Jump-planner and Jump-range tools, to add Highsec (>0.5) systems to results, since there are JF pilots out there who want to see how close they can get to a lowsec destination before leaving Highsec. Seems like it might be easy, but would require a re-wording of the current Highsec option, "Highsec connection(s) only:"
Perhaps two checkboxes, one for "lowsec connections" and one for "highsec connections"...
Thanks again for the great site. Also, is this the most appropriate place to send new moon data?

About the jumpplaner. I can't add highsec systems to the jumpplaner, because you can't jump to them and the jumpplaner also won't take gate routes into calculation, that the final step a cap pilot has to plan.
Perhabs oneday, I can add the the highsec systems to the jumprange tool, so you might be able to see what systems you can take as start location if you're on the search for a good logistic starting point in empire.
Right now the best place is to send me moon updates is via email <mypilotname>@dotlan.net as you can't attach spreadsheets or csv files to evemails. or just start a conversation with me and ask me.

Great! This is pretty much exactly what I need. Essentially trying to find Highsec systems that are in range of a lowsec supply point, to work out Empire-->Lowsec supply routes. Thanks in advance! :-) |

ItÆs finally done. The DOTLAN EveMaps Dominion Edition is ready to go. I hope you all have fun. If you like my work feel free to donate stuff to me: ISK, Minmatar Stuff (hint: I can finally fly Minmatar Black Ops and Caps \o/) or just leave a comment here.
LetÆs round up the new features and changes that happened in the last 4 month.
New Features and Changes

- Agents in space will be linked to their right location/system
- Many tweaks, fixes, updates to make DOTLAN EveMaps a better world to live in for us all. :-)
Background system- Switch from cron-based scripts to daemons
- Rewrite of all update scripts and daemons whoÆre keeping the database up2date
- Rewrite of API backend handlers
- Added cache clearing on cache groups
Database- Complete change of all tables that are handling historical data

And whatÆs coming after all that? Sure the work is still not finished with all the new shiny stuff which is coming out with dominion. IÆll focus more on the Sovereignty Status API and try to merge more data together.
Possible new stuff could be:- Conflict View: Alliances which are fighting against each other (based on contested systems SBU from alliance X is attacking space hold by alliance Y, and so on
- Better startpage with more likely customizable features and widgets
[*]Notification services (jabber/email)? (In the far far future)
