If I remember right didn't they nerf the mass and agility of AF's to counter the speed issue they were having. Wasnt that why? Cure you say... yes its a cure! If anything in the assult line of ships should be heavy slow bricks... for the exception of the vagabond since its the only intended hit and run ship, in its class. Things like the Ishtar and the zealot or sacralidge should have major nerfs to there mass since they have such powerfull armor systems, as intended by game storyline. Lets look at the Cerb, Its is already a slow bulky crap terdd of a ship! Why? Becuase it is meant to sit and spew missles, not zippy zip around acting like school grade children.

I'll stand pretty firm on saying they either snipe for anti support, nano up or get left in the hanger while I fly something better suited for tanking'n'ganking. The nano age didnt kill tanked HAC's, teir2 BC's did. Nano HAC's are a result of making the ship class useful again.

Actually if you look closely you'll realize blue is missing. And so is purple (that purplish color is violet). The reasons they're absent is they're difficult to read on a dark background. For example, the ishkur is generally considered to be one of the stronger AFs but the sentinel makes it look like a POS by comparison and the sentinel isn't even that popular. A better solution would be to give AFs the frigate speed stats they should rightfully have thus providing effective hac tacklers (inties are too squishy) and making the nano game more accessible with the inclusion of another class of ships. AFs really should be able to tackle HACs, imagine if T1 frigs weren't fast enough to tackle T1 cruisers, how screwed up would that be?

The AF's MWD speed is somewhere around that of BCs, that seems pretty screwed up, does it not? I think one of the core ideas in eve is that each ship class is designed to generally be able to outrun that which it cannot kill at its own tech level. Cruisers are two classes larger and one tech level lower than AFs yet can run them down--that's completely out of line with this ideal.

Interceptors class ships wouldn't be penalized since they got a low signature , but cruisers , HAC , BC or even BS would be more heavily sanctioned . It's just a random thought but might work if properly balanced .

You can either look at it like the problem is that T2 AF's go too slow or you can look at it like T2 HAC's go too fast. Its just a perspective switch. I tend to think HAC's go too fast. If you slowed down HAC's you wouldn't need to speed up AF's ;). I think an AF should go a bit slower than a T1 frigate that's speed fitted, but not as slow as a HAC.

I think you say it yourself that becuase some of the HACS aren't viable nanoed then its still not a reason to keep all the other hacs broken. And yes im DUMB!!! but please tell me what "ship fits" seem dumb... becuase it seems to me that I very rarelly get flamed due to my ship fitting options, when posted on the forums... actually it seems back at the begining of REV 2 I posted a Hams setup for the Drake which is becoming quite popular now...Then it got the old "missles suck for PVP" and "the drake is meant to be passive tanked". I have posted logistics setups for the Domi which I am still getting reports of other gangs out in 0.0 and lowsec using as support. So to you little boy I say this... If your gonna try and flame, first grow some nuts and come up with a good insult. This is the truth.. im a product of the sickness... I have recentelly decided that my nano vaga needed to be put to rest. It was fun until I started seeing everything zoom zoom. And another note I think OD and nano's need fitting requirements, aswell as auxillary rigs need to be nerfed, there almost as good as poly's

It's not just a perspective switch since there's also other ship classes to consider besides HAC vs AF. In my opinion one of the reasons why AFs are perceived weak is the fact that they don't have any special role, and therefore directly compete with t1 cruisers, which are typically atleast as powerful if not more powerful, and cheaper; two main reasons for this are the fact that AFs are as slow as t1 cruisers and stupidly overpowered webs that cover most small weapon engangement ranges and therefore negate the sig advantage (and which would also unfortunately mostly negate the speed advantage for the most part if AFs had one). HACs, following the similar 'assault'-design are also just beefed up cruisers, and directly compete with t1 battlecruisers. Due to webs generally only reaching bit over 10km and the weapons on hacs typically having range in excess of this, hacs can utilize the speed and agility advantage they have over battlecruisers to provide a slightly different approach to combat than battlecruisers, but if you remove that advantage (or introduce 20km webs), you'll be soon looking at an exactly identical situation as with AFs, hacs being a novelty item with very little practical/cost-effective utility in PvP. I personally think most of the speed-related problems (and that's a large scope of problems, not just nanocruisers) in the game are a result of the poor webbing mechanics, and devs should focus their efforts on fixing the cause, not the symptoms. Building on a bad foundation brings just more problems in the future.

I still stand by the fact that your proposal is extremely stupid since first of all. It'll ruin nano hacs, this is propably your intention because you are a bitter idiot. Second of all with nanos gone only way to do HACs is sniping (Only a few can do that) and tanking. BCs do the tanking better or equally as good while doing more dps for a smaller price and it's insurable. This leaves the tanked hac with 1 advantage, it's more agile. But wait, what are you proposing, an agility and speed nerf, completely eliminating the last advantage the tanked HAC has. Brilliant idea, brilliant!
