Was in another op when a intercepter came in and ignored a Iteron, ignored me in a another Retiever and went after a a corp mate who was in a Vexor. Intercepter died and Vexor pilot reported he was not even down to armor. ANother case of it makes no sense. THe bottom line it isn't always about profit. THey could have been bored and with nothing else to kill and with the loss down the min with insurance it turns into a case of why not. BUt I must admit when gankers start hitting empty ships it is really is just sad, I can't imagine being that bored and not logging off.

What others said, don't AFK in space. If you have a family, /respect, but dock up, or the very least fit a cloak if you're too lazy or have no time to do so. Or warp to a planet, aim to a random direction and hit mwd while being afk. EVE never was a safe place and never will be either.

The *VERY FIRST* tip in the player guide is this: "Don't play the game in AFK mode. This game is not designed with this kind of playing style in mind and you should NEVER consider your ship and character safe while being away from your computer." Suicide ganking is nothing new to the game, it has been around since the game started and will always be around. If you have to be away from the computer dock or log out. -=^=-
