Max CAOD Caldari MAX INTEL Corporation	Posted - 2008.07.24 13:02:00 - [1] Edited by: Max CAOD on 24/07/2008 13:01:56 There is a lot of crap at the CAOD forums so I thought I should do a summary of the bob war, it's results, it's weaknesses, it's strengths and what have ACTUALLY happens. Filtering through the rubbish in CAOD is not easy, Your reporter - me - will do that for you. We'll start with checking the actual forces that are meeting eachother in battle constantly now lately since BOB started the "MAX" campaign and moved towards PURE Blind and supposedly ultimately to conquer deklein (or inflict MAX damage to deklein?) Based on killmails and intel the sides are the following: Bob coalition: (whole "coalition" referred to as BOB) Band of Brothers Southern Cross Alliance T e r c i o u s Skunk-Works Digital Renegades Frontal Impact Executive Outcomes GOODFELLAS Blade. Axiom Empire x13 Alliance (might be wrong or left someone out) Northern Coalition: (referred to as NC) Iron Morsus Mihi Hydra Mostly Harmless Razor Pure (RA) not in the Northern Coalition but blue, they don't seem to help IRON defend a lot but they have done some effort to help IRON and have in return earned some help defending against BOB, since BOB taking over RA's space would mean they have a bigger frontline against IRON which would be bad for NC. The matchup is interesting and we're sure to see a lot of large fleet battles and fun fights Behind the war: BOB officially went public with their MAX campaign and that they moved a huge cap fleet towards Deklein and inflict MAX damage to one of their greatest oponents at the moment - Northern coalition. After NC conquered Deklein BOB realised that NC is a threat. MAX damage means destroying infrastructure, send out roaming gangs, destroy POS:es, conquer moons etc, a powerful idea if you want to hit a large coalition. Many looks above the shoulders were made when this supposed 150+++ cap fleet moved, including multiple titans and then large BS fleet. This caused a lot of thinking, can NC really engage these? Can they stand against this power? I think their supposed fleet movement is bit inflated and seeing such a fleet for a while will not happen in actual The war: So far there have been a lot of smaller engagements (50-100 vs 50-100) and a couple of larger engagements. NC has yet to commit their caps and their real power, and probably same with BOB. BOB have shown a display of cap movement in Pure Blind so far and destroyed many POS:es for RA and taken some moons. BOB has not taken any interesting Sov in systems as of yet. Most of the fights going on in deklein have been won (not very weird) by NC, being defenders and a slight advantage of having lagg on their side (this is avoidable in some ways, for example attacking another system which bob have done with some success. Many fights in Pure Blind have ended bad for NC since NC are usually not comitting caps yet while BOB are generous with their titan/cap love. There is a lot of "chest beating" on both sides... a lot of tries to meassure the others strength and so far no SERIOUS engagements have taken place. BOB have tried to go straight for VFK/2-k which is IRON's (NC) home systems. Iron defeated their first attempt pretty much single-handedly and then the rest of the NC replied by sending multiple fleet convoys over to IRON space to setup around VFK. Current status: cl6/p-2/kly battle report: The fight in CL6 was a big one but ended with BOB overwhelming NC (with 20++) caps and NC retreated, quite a few stragglers were caught but a reinforcement fleet covering the escape route to KLY-C made sure NC got a lot of kills and made sure most of their fleet got out somewhat safely. BOB entered KLY with their mainfleet and killed a quite a few ships that couldn't get out because of lagg. BOB then camped in KLY for a while and then left to X-70. NC then went to p-2 and put the BOB towers in reinforced and started camping the system. Retreating was a wise move by NC. Your reporter of the BOB's progress in the MAX campaign and of the

The current war is near p-2. BOB has as many sais put up towers there to contest the SOV in the system (station system) and will get SOV unless they defeat the NC+RA fleet that is setting up in p-2 as we speak. The POS:es will come out of reinforce 20:00 evetime and after, it's 3 towers that are put into reinforced. I think bob will make a rather serious attempt to take p-2 back before NC blow up the towers but you cannot be certain, they might just leave it to die, NC have a substantial cap fleet on standby and RA probably have one too. BOB definately does. If a spark flies around p-2 I hope to god CCP reinforces the node before it happens because there is will be over 500 ppl attacking eachother minimum. P-2 is just a start for bob, they want a station system near IRON space and sov in some systems around Pure Blind so they can show some progress, to boost morale as much as killing RA/NC morale, MAX progress is the least thing NC wants. What if bob don't attack p-2 now when the POS:es are destroyed, but go for CCP/VFK instead? I'll be sure to find out what's happening and update continously. Final words: I'll keep updating for a while and we'll see. The MAX age has just begun and we're sure to see some of the largest fleet engagements ever take place around Deklein/Pure Blind. My facts.. Trust what you want but I've tried to filter the bullshit that is spread across CAOD left right and center to show some REAL facts, some from good sources. Many ppl show there killboard saying LOOK GUYS! WE WON! But fact is - killboards are biased, simple. To see what actually happens, check http://go-dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Verite/influence.png. An awesome tool to check what happens in space atm. As you can see, Pure Blind nor Deklein is filled with BOB Sovereignity, but the war has just started, that will change for sure, in one way or another. And there is a lot of spying going on from both sides, both got ppl on the others TS and in fleets, the primaries warping out before they are even locked and movements known early makes secret ops hard. Anything said below here is CAOD trolls/spammers usually, some might be speaking truth though, believe what you want, write what you want, but I'd suggest you don't troll too much, since it'll be rubbish like most CAOD threads. Posted - 2008.07.24 14:53:00 - [22] good thread. pretty much all it is boiling down to now is BOB dosent want to engage NC with conventional forces, more than enough reason behind that by checking out the past few engagements where the GBC lost entire BS fleets. but then the NC dosent want to engage that monster of a cap fleet GBC brought over for obvious reasons, apart from the lag its been great fun had by all parties im sure. once you get past the annoying "my epeen is bigger than yours" people it has been a fun war, i sure hope CCP is paying attention and dose all they can to help minimize lag in the combat zone, its the least they can do for people paying them for this every month. (bitter over not loading grid a few times)

GBC are winning the territory/pos war and the capital K:D ratio e-peen war. They are loosing the non-capital K:D Ratio e-peen war. Iron has no choice but to fight to the death since going back to drone regions is no longer a option due to solar fleet etc etc, so NC combined forces tend to focus on what they do best, which is cap/supercap + fleet vs non-cap fleets to defend their space.
