Those at this moment, I'm bit over worked. (Ok, so over worked that skipping from project to project takes half of my workday and I'll have to organize things around "wait times until customer gets annoyed")
And yes, I do crawl under tables in suit.
Sounds horrifically familiar

Work? A designer? It's us code monkeys who do all the hard graft
If was a designer at some other company, then this might be true...
Unfortunately, as I have to design, code, script and watch ****, a usual weeks overtime for me is around 20 hours.
This week I have already done 28 hours overtime in 4 days and still have the weekend to come ;)
Hence why I'm AWOL from eve atm for anyone wandering!

Snowboard instructor 8 years/snowboard manager of Killington vermont snowboard school for 5 of those. Semi pro bordercross racer for last two, actually won one event and made it to a couple other finals, gotta luv it when the smallest adult racer is king of the mountain for a day, i had bragging rights for a day, was pretty cool. this last winter makes 21 years of riding........yes i remember the snurfer
And yes living and working in a major ski resort is just like every movie you've ever seen portraying ski bum life.......especially "Hot Dog" the movie.
Yes I was a man Slooot for 8 years.......... Hi, what's your name......oh your only here for the weekend and never coming back. (thinks to himself, CHA CHING!!!!! bag it, tag it, shuv a thumb in it, and wait till next weekend)
Everyone who plays in the snow should plan on working in a major ski resort for one season but do it after you turn leagal for drinking up a storm. Your not a bum if your not skiing/boarding hung over. And yes about 95% of the best skiers/riders are probably smoking pot and getting high someplace on the mountain............that goes for all mountains. Promise.
The phrase ski bum......is not slander but a way of life.
As much fun that was, had to quit due to stress in my managerial position. Any idea what managing a bunch of deliquent party'in snowboarders is like.......now multiply that by 100 of them. GOOD GOD......keeping track of all them at the same time organizing millions of dollars worth of lessons. Yes that is correct.......million of dollars worth of lessons.
currently ebay power seller of computer/networking "stuff" and yes sometimes I mine at work allllllll day long. Heck, i can earn about 6 mill in a good day of work mining.
Heck, if it weren't for work...........i'd never be in these forums.

*considers installing EVE at work comp*
Weirdly enough, my manager walks past, reads a few posts and then goes away again muttering something to the tune of "weird sites you go to" o.O
Eek!! MAsters in Software Developement - ú7330, Why is that the things you want to do the most, cost the most too?
Time to start saving up : b. Unless of course, CCP is willing to take a code-newbie under their wing as an apprentice for making games great?
You know, thinking about that, it's a damned good idea, hell I don't mind earning ú13K for a while whilst I learn how to do what I love better --------------------------------------------- I'm the root of all thats evil yeah, but you can call me Cooki3
Some people couldn't get a clue, if they were in the middle of a clue field, in the middle of clue mating season, doused in clue pheromones, in a clue suit, shouting "Clooo! Clooo!" whilst beating themselves with a clue stick |
