BTW: Grundle, you and a couple friends of yours wasted my corp's mining op a while back. As much as it ****ed me off to lose an Exequror, I have to say, you guys were very quick and professional. Luckily, most of us had gang-warped away prior, and I was caught out because of one of the gang-up bugs which kept me from joining the gang >:(

Hmmm... I think my official title is Head of Technical Architecture for a firm in the City (London financial district for those outside of the UK).
In practical terms, it means I have to do something of everything, while working with what I have to say are some of the nicest (and most efficient) software engineers I've ever met... don't let them hear that though :)

Yes, it would... fortunately, the place I work is small enough that I hope I would know all the other EVE players here (I addicted the Testing/Build manager to the game... :)).
Unless you deal with front office trading systems for derivative markets, I doubt you would even have heard of the company though ;)

Snowboard instructor 8 years/snowboard manager of Killington vermont snowboard school for 5 of those. Semi pro bordercross racer for last two, actually won one event and made it to a couple other finals, gotta luv it when the smallest adult racer is king of the mountain for a day, i had bragging rights for a day, was pretty cool. this last winter makes 21 years of riding........yes i remember the snurfer
And yes living and working in a major ski resort is just like every movie you've ever seen portraying ski bum life.......especially "Hot Dog" the movie.

Everyone who plays in the snow should plan on working in a major ski resort for one season but do it after you turn leagal for drinking up a storm. Your not a bum if your not skiing/boarding hung over. And yes about 95% of the best skiers/riders are probably smoking pot and getting high someplace on the mountain............that goes for all mountains. Promise.
The phrase ski bum......is not slander but a way of life.
As much fun that was, had to quit due to stress in my managerial position. Any idea what managing a bunch of deliquent party'in snowboarders is like.......now multiply that by 100 of them. GOOD GOD......keeping track of all them at the same time organizing millions of dollars worth of lessons. Yes that is correct.......million of dollars worth of lessons.
currently ebay power seller of computer/networking "stuff" and yes sometimes I mine at work allllllll day long. Heck, i can earn about 6 mill in a good day of work mining.
Heck, if it weren't for work...........i'd never be in these forums.

Student in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech. I'm in the co-operative education program that lets you go to classes one semester, then work with a company full-time the following semester... then back to classes for a semester etc etc (you get 4+ work semesters). It gives good RL experience that looks nice on your resume when you graduate.
Currently 3rd-yr student and working with an engineering firm that designs manufacturing and packaging systems for Fortune 100 companies. |

Its unbelieveable how many tenuous nautical references and marine 'ship' attributes this game has and then just when you think that is the theme that CCP wants to follow, they go off at a tangent and prove that none of them have ever really been away to sea and are just really a load of yachties.

Actually Iceland doesn't have a navy per se, we have a few armed coast guard heavy frigates (I think they are). So naval warfare information at best is coming out of books.

Not very heavy and definately not frigates, and there are 3 of them. These are unarmored gunboats with a single 40mm bofors hand-operated gun. The guns were gifts from the Danish navy, who no longer needed them.

I'm late to the party, but here goes:
Senior student with my major in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science
Part time jobs include:
Administrator of the Chemical engineering computer lab
Designing an ethanol plant (Maize -> C2H5OH)
Sandwich Artist =)
The last one is due to my family running 2 Subway stores and me being their cronie when they need help. I can't complain though, the fact that is we're an immigrant family and subway has helped us get established in the US over the last decade and a half. It is helping to pay for all 4 kids to go to university.

Studying Pyschology, Art, and "Design" as vague as it sounds.
I feel so alone, after flipping through about ten pages of jobs I'm fairly sure I'm one of the only people NOT doing something to do with computers, "security" (law enf., military, secret agents), unemployment, or like... machinery... like you technicians and things... electrical engineers... byahh...

Desperately looking to get the hell out of IT eventually. I used to love computers and would spend hours after school or on weekend tinkering and learning. Now I can't stand 'em. Work's sucked all my enjoymeny out of my previously enjoyable hobby.

I just got out of the finnish conscript army a few weeks ago and now I'm back working as an insurance company's purchasing handler with intentions on going to a university to study social psychology.

At the moment I am helping a large UK university to link it's student portal into computer aided assessment software. Clever part is that the assessments change themselves depending on how well/badly a student is doing.
Our focus groups so far have loved that they see a list of courses, with a breakdown of marks for any CAA assessment's they've taken in the past and links to further resources.

Because of the insanely retarded public school system in arizona, since im a senior anyway my dad just lets me janitor the school with him all day. May sound boring to you but he pays me 7.25 an hr plus I get to chill with my freinds and screw with their locks on the lockers (one time i changed a whole section of locks around on april fools, leet).

Went from Management and consultant role on a complaint department from an isp to a nice stressfull job in a international bank's IT department solving ppl's ****. Wish i could have done that before i got some grey hairs, yes 13 freaking grey hairs on the age of 22!
And if your bank uses ICBS, im probably responsible for your grey hairs

Mad inventer at heart, retail manager on earth...
I've built myself a nice cannon that launchers beer cans full of sand around 800m... An electrically charged glove that i never got the balls to use cause i wasn't too sure how much it would really do to someone/something... And, my finale... A 'tesla coil" (yeah those C&C things, dunno what they're really called, so this will do for me). This one was built as a mouse trap And yeah it got used, and it was easy cause i set it up and walked away, wasn't me who had to do it.....
Grey hairs have gotta be on the way for me too though, 23 on the 25th, been in the job for nearing 5 years - too many hours, not enough pay...
Psssssst, anyone out there in Australia, drop me a line, looking to see of there is anyone other than here

My job is to come in to my job site, wherin I'm the only person working and thus my activities are totally unverifiable, write one piece of paper worth of whatever I was supposibly doing for eight hours, then I let the wind guide me where it will.

LOL monty, i'll see what i can manage, it will require me to spend a weekend building another, as my flatmate at the time still has the old one. I could have a rough guess what it'll be like from what was left of the mouse afterwards, it'll belong on bangedup.
