OK first of all, Mad props to Lock Out, First General, Tekitha and a number of others for making this happen (Ammon Dei, Red Squad to name just a couple) GÇô A LOT of work went on behind the scenes to make this work.
Now, to all the moaners and whingers complaining about not being involved with this........get a grip for gods sake.
2 corps pulled this off, Shadows Of The Federation and Wolfsbrigade (with the addition of a few very close friends who made the difference between it being successful or not) and it had to be done this way to minimise the chance of the plan being leaked.
There were less than 10 people who knew what was being planned and both corps purposely didnGÇÖt tell our own corp members what was going on, even as we were moving all the pieces into place.
How many of your own corp members would jump into 3 billion isk + ships and being told to insure cos you are going to die and do it no questions asked, how many of your own corp members would fly 15-20 jumps in there pods without being told why other than just because we said to do so with no explanation, how many corps members would keep comms discipline from beginning to end and do exactly what they were told to do, I could go on and on about this.
SOTF and WBR have a long history of being friends, enemies, emo falling out and in all honesty couldnGÇÖt play the game in 2 more different ways that how each corp operates and gets results.
However after all this is said and done we have a massive mutual respect and trust of each other (banter aside) and there are not many corps in this game who are enemies and shoot each other in the face 99% of the time who can pull something like this off and more importantly have the trust in each other to be able to make it work.
This was probably the most expensive fleet ever assembled within Faction warfare which was implemented by (arguably) the 2 biggest and most successful EU corps in any of the militias and the plan worked thanks to the factors above.
Also, Big props to PL for taking this in the way they have done, they get a lot of stick and negativity generally but in this instance have been fantastic in there response to us and we FW noobs appreciate it.
Instead of whining to everyone else about why you werenGÇÖt involved look at in the mirror and ask yourself the same question, respect, relationships and teamwork are earned and not freely handed out just because we share the same factions.

I think people are just miffed that there was some planning to do it as all 4 militias and then you two go off and do it alone. But to be honest, **** the haters, **** got done and that is all that matters in my opinion, so big ups to SOTF and W-BR. Its a win for Faction Warfare, as much as the haters are trying to denigrate it. Hans Jagerblitzen for CSM7 |

I fully endorse Gallactica's message.
Since not that many people read the wolfsbrigade homepage where i've made two posts about the operation i'd like credits to go to:
to Lock Out - massive love and respect! to Tekitha - love you too ;) to SOTF and Gallactica in particular for being a great guy.
as well as a shout out to the other supporting pilots in our fleet who are not called out by name here.
Last but not least :
Shout out to PL - who, like Gallactica said above, usually get a lot of stick but being massive sports about this.

Its amazes that the people who lost the Titan have been cooler about it than people that never got onto the Kill. Thank god im not a diplo and don't have to listen to such things first hand.
It happened if you were there your happy if not, move on ffs. Theres always next time, war is what we do and as such there is always something to kill.
I would say more but my attitude towards diplo issues is a general "Go **** yourself" which is the second reason Im not one. |

Fixed that for you :P. Props to SOTF, Red Squad (XDMR in particular. Long time no see.) and the few guys from Zero Heavy (0000) etcetc for getting the titan kill. As Vordak said before, The bitterness stems from a group idea being carried out without half the group.
I personally think this event is going to hurt the militia more than it does PL. Because, ya know, Titan Replaced or Pilot Purged already most likely.
But Bridges burnt between FCs and CEOs are hard to fix. I'll be interested to see how this goes. Gotta refill this bucket of popcorn, though. |

I WAS THERE!
I simply got lucky and got on at the right time to fill a HIC role...as stated going 15 jumps via high sec in a shuttle without asking questions and was happy doing it knowing it was going to be some sort of epic supercap kill. Big thanks to the SOTF crew for letting me in and Ammon for getting together the few USTZ guys we had on that early and getting us in on the op. I can only imagine the amount of planning and forethought that went in to setting this up. Mad props to SOTF and WBR!

No. People are pissed because they were left out of the loop, and rightly so. There are so many alts/spies in the militias that it's impossible to keep a secret a true secret. GalMil Intel has been compromised and had been for a while. Amarrr intel channels were compromised before I joined. People are so pissy when they get left out of an op, then whine because of it. FlyingHotPocket's posts on the mail are a great indicator of this, though the little c*nt has a history of emo'ing out when he's ignored.
People don't get that operational security is what matters in an op like this. WBR and SOTF are two of the best faction warfare corporations out there, and it's because of them that faction warfare was just put on the map. Taking a fleet against a PL Titan is one thing. Killing it and knowing you're going to die, and then offering a GF in local? That takes balls on a massive scale, and I think it is safe to say that right now, a lot of null sec alliances are looking at this kill and hitting themselves because they lack the ability to create tactics and strategies on the fly.
I'm not in FW anymore, but if I was and was left out, you know what? F*ck it, I'd tell you good job, no hard feelings. I don't care if I'm involved in the kill, but seeing something like this happen is awesome, and you should be proud of yourselves.
Let people like FLyingHotPocket whine and hate. Haters gonna hate. But you have a Titan kill that is legit, and all they can do is look at it and whine (or in Pocket's case, doctor some). |

@ Mystical Knight - no-one asked SOTF or invited us to a "meeting" to discuss anything.
Are any of us whining about that? Nope, really don't give a rats ass either tbh.
Plus there has to be bridges there to be burnt in the first place......
People are being way too anal about this.

"Props to SOTF ..." (It's Mystical Might btw).
YSOMAD? :P
G'damn. If you're going to be butt-hurt over the recognition of your actions, whatever. You didn't have to be involved in the planning. W-BR and You are butt buddies. It's obvious if anything were to happen, SOTF Would be brought along no matter what.
I personally wasn't involved in any planning between groups, meerly 'an' FC. There were plenty of bridges connecting various FCs of various militias, as far as I'm concerned. Many weren't afraid to share their thoughts on possible plans with each other.
I'm not an FC. I cba with you scrubs. I was just pointing out, many FCs and CEOs aren't going to like what happened, and so this will linger in their memories when they next wish to share any viable plans they have that involves intermilitia co-operation. |

Pretty much. Everyone just wants to Monday Morning Quarterback this op in all its minutiae. Ignore the haters.
I doubt this puts FW on the map. Killing a titan will give these two corps a few extra members but beyond the 15 minutes of fame, people aren't going to join FW thinking they will get kills like these on a constant basis. If you're a FW pilot, killing a Titan is a once in a lifetime opportunity. So don't join FW thinking this is a daily occurrence. It's not.
If anything, SOTF and WBR are fine examples of what FW is; a bit of everything.
One moment, you're killing dessies in a plex and giving yourself combat experience without getting blobed. Another moment, you're in a BC gang going against neutrals. In another, you're on comms waiting for the greenlight to slug it out against a well known pie gang and their cap fleet. And in those once a blue moon occasions, you will get in on a kill like this.
FW is what you make of it.

Ok, I'm sorry (and I don't want to degrade what SOTF and W-BR have done here, I've already said it deserves some big ups), but can you get off their **** please? It's kind of offensive to all the other major players in all four factions saying that the actions of two corps have single-handedly made FW "good" or whatever you were implying about us now being "on the map". **** that, there are lots of good pilots in FW, not just SOTF and W-BR.

You dubbed the killing of the titan as an act done by "Militia Noobs", and you're wondering why people are viewing it in such a way?

is it any wonder we didn't include all 4 militia's in the planning and execution of this operation. The idiocy shown by a few people here is exactly the reason we kept it as we did.

Idiocy? I explained why people are mad (because they weren't included). I also said that SOTF/WBR got the kill and deserve props for their balls, haters be damned. Gallatica is apparently miffed that the kill is being associated with FW, although you all toted it as "Militia kills PL Titan", which doesn't make a lot of sense if you wanted it only to be recognized as "SOTF/WBR kill PL Titan".
I get op-sec and I think you were justified in keeping the op small and need-to-know. There are a lot of groups in Minmatar I don't fully trust (not necessarily because of SPAI but just because of competency), so acting as all 4 militia with people you don't know would be difficult.
I was defending you, and you throw a general comment about idiocy out there? Get off your high-horse.
If that comment wasn't aimed at me, then w/e.

"militia noobs kill PL titan" was just the name of the video, it's what one guy posted ... not the title I would have gone with but then I am not the one who made the video so meh. "SOTF / W-BR kill a PL titan" would also have been leaving out various other individual's who were involved.
The point is, we are in militia, so yes it was a militia kill in the strictest sense. The organisation and exectution of the kill however is all down to a few individuals, from SOTF and W-BR.
That wasn't really the point I was making with my previous statement tho, it's the general attitude that floats around not only these forums but also ingame, there is a rather negative vibe between almost every militia corp, and not just of Corps of opposing militia's. Pulling something like this off couldn't have happened the way certain others (who now feel left out, or "backstabbed") had planned.
too much trolling too much politics too much drama too much idiocy
in militia, honestly it's as bad as nullsec these days despite some people claiming that FW is "drama free" pvp.
but then again, Personally I love the drama so keep it up :) |

I never said they make up the militia. I have, however, said they are probably two of the best corporations in the militias, and I won't take that portion back.
The point my post made was that these two corporations came together and kicked some ass. So what if "all four" militias weren't represented? They saw an opening, they took it. Plans come and go. They change. If you don't like the fact that opportunity came knocking and they answered, then that's on you. And that is directed at anyone who wants to whine about this.
But let's be frank, here. Faction warfare has been viewed as the bastard children of EVE. You all are laughed at because you continue to use a system that has been broken since inception. Congratulations on doing so, but most null sec alliances see you guys come along and just go, "Whatever." Maybe you guys take some juicy ships through and they take notice, but for the most part faction warfare has been ignored by CCP, the CSM, and the null sec blocs.
What WBR and SOTF did put you guys - meaning faction warfare and the militias - on the map because they took a fleet in, knowing it was a suicide mission, and walked away with the loot from the titan and with a better ISK ratio than Pandemic Legion did.
As someone else said earlier: Pandemic Legion is taking this loss with dignity. It's faction warfare that's bitching over it, because waah, it was an "invitation only" party and most weren't invited. Harden the f*** up. |

Yes they could maybe have gotten few hundred more people in fleet, but then titan would have been tank fitted and a more proper PL fleet would have been rdy.(possible NC. reinforcments too) SO I doubt more people would mean more chance of success as long as your not committing supers on your own.
