Just to keep a eye on one of eve's biggest fail corps, they have joined a fail alliance known as IAC.
As that is not enough John McCreedy keeps doing his morale boosting blogs, well some of them is causing people to leave the corp..

CEO Blog August '08 Short term goals and restructuring.
I know it's not August yet but for the sake of a week, this saves me writing it then. In the last three blogs I've discussed long term planning and direction of where I want to take the corp. This is because I want you all to buy into my vision for this corp. However that doesn't really help us in the short to medium term goal department and this is what this blog will address. Short term goals with a medium term view to restructuring. In the short term, we all need to be on the same page and work as a corp and whilst the corp has both PvPers and Miners in it, I don't want any seperatism in terms of attitude. This doesn't mean I'll ask PvPers to mine or Miners to PvP, it just means I want us to think as EDF not as Miner or PvPer.
PvPers
There's a lot of new faces and long term I want to build Eve's strongest fighting force but to do that we need to start operating as a team. We need to learn to employ various strategems such as spider tanking, nano fighting, hot dropping etc. Each of us knows this and has expereince of it but not as a team. But before we can do this we need to get to know one another as a team and that's what the forth coming campaign next week will be designed for. Since it's not a major campaign and just a "getting to know you" campaign, I can tell you that it'll be Terricos. This is simply down to the fact that they're close and mostly carebears so we can go out each night and gank them using different ships. There won't such as spider tanking, that'll come later, but for now it'll just be fast, fun ops designed to get us all used to flying with one another.
This is how it will continue throughout the Summer. Easy campaigns that will be designed to get us used to the new and old FCs and develop different tactics and setups, clock up a load of kills thereby raising our profile and our position in the BC league table, which incidently has moved up a position, and above all have fun together, thus hopefully creating strong bonds of friendship. Come Winter there will be more hardcore campaigns designed to make people really sit up and start taking notice of us. That information however will come later in the year.
Miners
Same goes with you guys. There's a lot of you who are new and whilst I would never claim to think like a miner, I do know that you don't mine because you want to be poor. Some of the richest corps in Eve are carebears so taking that as your central focus, I want to make you rich because if you work within the structure the corp has laid out, you will get very rich and help the corp get very rich in return. This in turn will help secure our existing space and pay for campaigns to take new space therefore making you richer. It becomes self sustaining but only if you work as a team and sell your ore to the corp. If you don't, the corp suffers, can't afford combat campaigns which limits you to the current one system we have. I'll then remove you from Eve Defence Force without mercy. Sure you could then attempt to join another IAC corp but you won't get rich because all you're doing is fighting over the same few scraps of resources. This isn't a threat, it's an economic choice and one I'm trying to get you to see the business sense of. IAC is mostly industrial where as Eve Defence Force is mostly PvP so we represent your best chance of helping IAC retake the area around FAT.

Allow me to explain this last comment. The area around FAT whatever it's called is the area currently occupied by Terricos and if you look at the mining map, it's where almost all the Ark is in Catch and there's loads of it. But it's in hostile territory. Well I want it. I'd assume IAC wants it too (being industrial they'd be mad not to!) but we can't retake it without the tools needed which are Dreads, Carriers and MOMs as well as a large stock of BS and other combat equipment and the only way we can afford this is through you selling your ore to the corp so we can sell the minerals on for a profit. In return for doing this we can eventually become strong enough to drive out Terricos and open up another 9 systems of Ark. More systems means more space. More spacce means less competetion and less competition means greater profits for you to get rich on and us to protect that space again creating a self sustaining enterprise.
So that's business plan so let me give you a reason to mine together and operate as a team. We've had some ***** in our main mining system ganking solo miners. Now correct me if I'm wrong here but i'm told most of you if not all of you fly Hulks. Well I don't know how much combat expereince you all have but I do know a Hulk can be fitted to tank and tank pretty well. It also has a Dronebay capable of handly (I think) 5 light drones. The guy was in an Arazu, also a T2 ship (Gallente Recon) but Recon's generally aren't known for their tanking ability so if there's five of you online and five of you mining as a team in Hulks that's 25 Light drones and if you're using T2 Drones I can guarantee you an Arazu will melt before he manages to gank a Hulk. This means you only need dock or go a POS if an entire gang comes into the system which in turn means more profits which if you do as I as above feeds in upon itself to make you ever increasingly richer.
So short term we're going to give you some targets. I also want to see you start operating in teams and most of all I want you to please sell us your ore so we can all benefit from the profits. As time goes on we'll set you larger quotas which will be tied to the profitability of the belts you have available to you as well as the amount of competition you have in those belts. In return we'll provide you with combat training to allow you to operate in 0.0 belts unbder hostile conditions so that you can continue to mine if there's a cloaker in a system.
Restructuring
We're going to apoint shift managers that will be given limited decision making powers, roles and will be there to either answer your questions or if they don't know the answer, go away and find out for you. Essentially they'll be your interface to the board when there's no Director online. So this is going to help you I hope.
Medium term we're going to be opening up between three and six new leadership positions that will be created so if you're looking for more responsiblity within this corp, you have between now and the end of the year to prove yourself worthy of a leadership position. These positions will be between general membership and the board members and will be responbsible for day to day running of the divisions within the corporation. So as I said if you're interested in having input into the direction of the corp then make the role yours.

Hopefully we will see the end of John's Fail atempts to lead a corp.
And please don't pose a pvp corp, when you are nothing but fail pvpers in the corp

Wait, you are leaving your corp because you are tired of your leadership having direction and above average communication?!?!?! I am willing to bet half the people in eve don't get the same attention from their CEOs that you did.
Atleast your corp ticker is right on the money -_/-_/-_/-_/- Please return trays to their upright position. Thanks you for riding the forums

I spy with my little eye
A horrible little carebear/mission runner
Who doesn't want to pvp and is upset coz he can't do Lvl 4's while his corpies try and get themselves organised.
The best thing you can do for EDF is leave, don't let the door hit you in the ar5e on the way out..

This is exactly what I was thinking. My thoughts of John McCreedy aside, its a good thing to keep people udpated with goals and plans... OP fails... nice try at a troll tho.

i am no carebear, but everyone needs to make isk to keep fighting, and how can i do that with a 100% tax rate.
And john don't care about his members, as long they keep his corp on the top of the killboard, wich they fail at also.
They are being beaten by IAC carebears.

Its standard practise in a number of 'successful' corps, even alliances to impose a 100% tax rate, for short periods of time, to encourage and ensure participation on combat ops.
If you have isk issues or such like, running to caod and posting your CEO's mails is not the best way to resolve them, is it?
Perhaps if you made a post on your corp / alliance, whatever forum or even asked a senior person, they may have been able to help with ships to cover losses, mods ? Did you even try ?
Posting this on caod is despicable and will undoubtedly hinder your career progression in eve, maybe you can go join aneu or something, in the eve desert

Agreed, Twink LOOOOOOVES to hit us with the 100% tax on op days. People should be fighting, that is the point. If you are having ship losses to an extent where you can no longer afford to pvp, surely you can at least show up in an inty (I do that /blush). And if you cant, well maybe you dont belong in 0.0. Empire sounds like it has what you need, the ability to sit around and rat/mission and be rich and not lose any money.
So ya... keep smacking a guy who wants to see a good turnout at his ops. Thats a great idea.
