Scorpion is good ship. Unlike falcon it has the hp buffer and can run some good amount of remote repping. It's not as agile ofc and locks a lot slower so overall they both have their share of pie without making each other pointless.

Originally by: D'Argentus Never use T2 ECM mods, including distortion amps. If you can afford it use meta 4 as it provides the same benefits as T2 but uses less cap and typically less CPU. Cap is typically an issue when running smart bombs and heavy neuts. Albeit, you will rarely run into fitting issues on a Scorpion.
T2 ECM are fine on Falcons and Scorps. neither are cap limited.
If you look at the fit he is running, this is definitely not cap stable....Not sure what the numbers are for cap duration running all of his mods, as I do not have EFit here, but every precious second counts in an engagement.
For the falcon, CPU is more of an issue over cap if you are fitting a recon probe launcher(depending on the rest of the fit) and you only have recon ship to 4.

Cap stable is for Dreads and losers.
Besides. Pretty much all his high slots are utility and emergency, they're not supposed to run all the time. Smartbombs = Anti-drone. Which is very useful on a jamming ship since drones is the only thing that sticks to you when you re-jam. Shouldn't run for more than a few cycles at a time. Heavy Neuts = Anti-ceptor. Shouldn't take more than a cycle or two to take a ceptor to the point where he can't tackle anymore. Remote Rep/Shield transport = Utility. Will most likely be used outside combat since a Scorp benefits from having a lot of space between itself and its enemies. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. His scorp isn't cap stable, but the additional cap used bt T2 ECMs is pretty much irrelevant.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |
