It's easy to cross-train for, affortable and works for the occasional ratter/mission runner will moderate skills...good for PVP too in many occasions... Tho I like others more, Drake is the jack of all trades ship of this game...so if you find it so "close" to the Nighthawk in performance, just use that one...it's not like all the other CSs wtfpwn-outgank their BC relatives. U should be glad you can mission-run in a Nighthawk, even if it boosts minor differences vs. a Drake. Oh, and stop making comparisons between a PvP and all-around oriented ships in general, aka CS vs. BC. These classes are totally different than BS and Marauders, since the latter are clearly tipping the scale towards mission running etc...CSs are there to fit Gang Boost modules and survive a bit more in the field than the standard BC, not to mission-run faster - end of story. A Nighthawk can out damage a Drake quite easily. However I would concede that the cost/skills/feature ratios are skewed. You get much more ship for your ISK and skills with the Drake then you do with the Nighthawk. I think that the Drake needs it's tank clipped a bit. Maybe-maybe-also a nerf on damage. The current situation is: PvP:Drake is a far more sensible solution than a NH. NH is perhaps better on paper but the cost and the fact it can't play the right role means you'd have to be a bit silly to choose it over the Drake. PvE:NH is a very competent mission runner. One of the best in the game in fact. The Drake has a 'best of class' ability to handle L4s but is painfully slow at times. -- (Sarcastic mission running veteran, 4+ years) [Brackley, UK] My budgie can say "ploppy bottom". Hehe, I didn't like those numbers, I was about to load up EFT myself to figure out why they looked wrong. I personally think the NH is quite a bit better than the drake, simply because I actually like the one extra low slot (even at the cost of a medium) I mean, it can get a comparable/better tank than the drake with one less mid slot, and get an extra BCS in the lows for more boom boom. Vulture will always be my baby though.. ;-) POS Personal Storage

It's still not very much considering the price and skill requirements of the nighthawk.
