TRI been reinforcing Hydra towers in P3EN NC came to defend, large fighting took place on IPAY gate, TRI have held the field but alot of NC are still in system.

lots of warping in and out occurs with dictor bbls all over from both tri and nc tryn to catch eachothers gangs we warp in at range and snipe hostiles and eventually they decide to bail from engageing on the ipay gate (no idea how many they have left at this point but we took minimal losses)
hostiles are reported bailing to low sec Obe gate which we have large mobile bbl on,we warp in at snipe range and our support at zero can try to kill w/e we can before they burn to gate and jump out
kills/losses stil being posted but all i got to say is great fight lads :)
*also heard bob was haveing fun in vfk-c/d?????

So whats the difference? In both cases the defending body knew the other was coming...im both cases capitals were present and in both cases Tri was outnumbered.
Clearly being in nanos cannot be stopped and flying it ensures victory...right? I mean, pilot skill and experience surely has no place in determining a ship/setup effectiveness.
Don't mind me, just iritated that out of 130 kills, and all the fighters i had out...my gangmates managed to remember to use them twice O_o
Also, ignored here, ignored in game dev forum, doesnt really matter :P

I am curious as to Tri's intention. If you just wanted to fight there would be countless alliances not involved in a major conflict at present, why do you only attack the NC when they are occupied in another war?

There's a fairly simple answer to that question.
The NC can muster quite a considerable force (in numbers) more so than we could manage. Yes we have excellent skilled pilots but that can't counter a 400-500 man blob, which from past experience is exactly what the NC would bring to fight us.
In a situation where sov is threatened the NC is not concerned with getting good fights they are concerned with stopping the attack, and if you bring enough, you can do just that. I can understand that way of thinking too, it just depends on your priorities.
The Bob attack in the North did provide us with an opportunity that does not come around every day in the North which is to take on a Northern entity, challenge sov and not get every man and his dog coming down on us.
Last night the NC decided to send a fleet to try and help Hydra and kudos for them on it, and also respect for jumping into us, believe us we respect that kinda attitude but they nearly paid a heavy price for doing it (vfk!)
I'm sure Bob will be keeping a very close eye on the NC and if they come in force to help Hydra again they may not be so lucky next time.
So it comes down to a decision for the NC, help Hydra and lose Deklein to Bob. Or defend the Deklein station let Hydra space fall and maybe try and deal with us later as I'm no doubt sure the NC regard us as the lesser of 2 evils (and if I had Bob on my doorstep I'd think the same too!)

Well, according to the NC, only a fraction of their forces have been committed to defending against BoB, they have everything under control, BoB is contained, and they are of no threat to any "real" systems under "NC" control. Are you saying this isn't true?

Well unless I didn't get mails I didn't kill much with DD.
Never loaded grid, local went up and told thye was on gate uncloaked. (took 1minute+ to uncloak) then took another minute or two for dd to start. Then took 2mins to warp to a ss.

Module lag was a bad for me in that fight. I locked far more ships than I managed to get guns firing at.
There are a hell of a lot of enemy wrecks on the gate. But quite a few ships made it through the DD and got picked off by support and snipers.
Good fight to all concerned.

Usually dont post here but Man oh man that was pathetic, Dont take it as a whine we lost the battle since I fly ECM ships and know im going too die so no big deal. But the Grids not loading for 5-10 minutes, Gates not letting tons of the fleets jump, Warp Bubble never going down because it wouldnt load/lag. That was a CCP Disaster my gawd guys feed your hamsters, smack your IT guys something but ....well geeze.

I think if everyone petitions this ccp may reinforce the grid so we can have a fight. local was over 300+ and 10+ minuts to load the grid.... I asume lots of angy pilots from both sides. However GF on both sides, no one can say there wasn't a fight brought..

Lag sucks, but we both had that problem. Most of us never loaded more than 1 or 2 enemies at a time. You would probably have killed a bit more if there had been no lag, but you would still have lost heavily. Lag is a *****, but you gotta get used to it, it won't go away.

Apparently stuck is not the place to petition asking why I got no killmails and i hit stuff that my logs didn't show -.-
And I didn't warp my titan in, i was cloaked on grid since downtime and i never loaded the grid either :P

Ok, I'll give a quick short Battle Report as unbiased as I can.
A NC Fleet of over 230 was formed too attack P3, In P3 intel had Tri anywere from 120-150 depending with a Titan in sytem and a bubble on the gate. The NC arived at the opposite gate in Ipay and decided too send in some Ravens too quickly kill the Bubble. Lag hit HAAARD from here on out, with most anything taking several minutes too do. The Raven reported they hit the bubble but it didnt go down.
Drakes and Caracals were sent in next too try and take out the bubble, Again It seemed like the bubble went down but it was impossible too tell since most people's grids would not load for 5-10 minutes and lag was a beast. When we thought the Bubble was down we tried too jump into P3, But only half of the fleet were able too jump, everyone else was not allowed too jump due too lag or getting a message we could not jump for several minutes. We immediatly went back too the gate too jump back into Ipay as the Titan warped in and was going too set off his DD. Most people did not know if they got back too the gate or not (Most not, lol again thx CCP lag), The Titan then warps off and the words given for the whole fleet too jump back in to P3 and engage the Tri fleet.
Now this should have been the fun part both the Tri Players and the NC players but again lag and no grid killed any hint of fun. Only a few players got the grid too load and start shooting at the enemy fleet on our side, me I got a mail..some time passed for me then I saw a picture of my pod and flames shooting out (LOL) then minutes pass then back in station. This is how it ended for most of the NC guys and I think from what im reading a few Tri guys too.
Since the Titan didnt get alot of the fleet it could have been a fun old fashioned fleet fight. Too bad CCP

Your absolutely right, I'm sure a fleet of 240 with a loaded grid and weapons firing takes 10 minutes to kill a large bubble. That must have been some amazing fleet of reppers, repping from 150 klicks off....NOT!
Now, did the grid finally load for a few of us.....yes, but not so we could concentrate fire or bring more than a piecemeal attack on any target, and by then, half of us were dead. It was a lag FUBAR and it was all but on sided. Can't shoot what ya can't load.

Tri disbanded whilst attacking. They were not once under threat.
In fact, you see a giant rush from all the so called major alliance (bar bob) making a mad rush to claim the space as soon as Tri disbanded.

NC never attacked Tri in Dek, they never had the rocks to do it. They simply moved into Dek when we left due to the internal issues Tri had at the time.
But as for the fight we just had, it was a great fight, lag was there but I've known it much worse.

Tri didn't fight for Deklein either, MC did all the heavy lifting, all tri did was change sides 11 or 15 times and then finish off the malnourished pet alliances that were left in the wake of the MC assault
then changed sides a few more times and killed youwhat, then got hammered by cva and fell apart

at the time having afight kill 20 some capships was a huge deal to alot of people, now its just another battle.

I don't know if anybody noticed but when the lag got REALLY bad (as if it didn't fail at the start of the fight) the grid size shrunk considerably. So we had laggy battleships actually slow boating off grid, and having to turn around an mwd back on grid to keep attempting to shoot. And I say attempting because seeing my guns go green was a REALLY big deal. Felt like I had just won the lottery every time it happened.
I'm sure it would have been an epic, incredible fight if there had been a fight. The stuff leading up to the lag monster was great fun though. The Raven and Drake swarm was absolutely one of the funniest things I have seen in eve.

Have to admit I was really dissapointed with using a titan to fight for us 8(. Anyhow the blobs suck, the lag sucks, everything about an alliance sucks, but the people are alright 8).
Hope more small gang engagements are strung throughout the fleet fights. Although even in the massive fights the nano mach and nano raven are both still in one piece. God nano ships are overpowered, nerf them now! lol.
But meh thanks for the fun tri and NC. Hope for more. MM come play with us.

From what I heard elliot didnt hit hardly anything during that fight they were claiming they should be reimbursed on... sounded more like turkey shoot to me... a few snipers loaded grid and did the nasty on their fleet...

I thought there was some sort of unwritten agreement that while people went to HYDRA space for easy targets noone was to actually take their space from them... where else are we going to have turkey shoots without HYDRA Alliance?
