Let me just say that while I'm unhappy about the length of the draw (as I'm sure we all are), I am still quite confident that XTrinity's seventeenth lotto is no more of a scam than any of his previous lotteries.
While your isk may be tied up in the lottery, you needn't worry that said isk has disappeared, whether or not a draw occurs. If you're unhappy (as you have every right to be), you can mail XTrinity, and your isk will be returned to you the moment he signs on.
Here's hoping we have a draw soon, and that XT's long absence is still related only to business problems, and not something life-threatening.

Okura's, if you posted the same number as someone else, XT will fix it when he's able to get into Eve, which, to my knowledge, he hasn't been able to do for the better part of the time lotto 17 has been running.

I understand that we can all have RL issues that get in the way of our game time or prevent us from logging in, i myself have a problem at the moment, but i think should no draw take place again this weekend i'll little option but to request a refund on the tickets i bought

Everyone will of course be entitled to a refund if they are unhappy, but i know XT well and hes a good lad. He always gets the job done and this will be no exception. This is simply a little setback, granted its taken alot longer than usual but i can assure you guys that if XT could log on and get this over with right now he would have. Those of you who have participated in an XT lottery before know exactly what i mean, and for those of you who have not, please express any concerns in the XTLottery mailing list and ill have a look. Hi Broody, I absolutely agree with you, however, as with any respectable business XT might want to make sure the services are delivered promptly at all times. We all understand RL issues interfering with the game, and I do hope XT is just taken aside by work and that he is otherwise doing well. I think, though, that a backstopping system should be put in place, perhaps someone trustworthy (like yourself) doing the draw in XT's absence if he should be unable to do so himself. I will stick with the XT Lottery for the time being but would appreciate if my suggestion is properly considered, for the sake of all of us who enjoy the XT Lottery (and those of us who are not as patient as the others). Ive brought up the subject of me handling the draws with XT before, but we haven't been able to discuss it fully. Maybe with this draw being so late, he will re-consider this and we can arrange something. I haven't been around the past couple of months, due to moving house and sorting out problems with the move, but i am now settled and will be around alot more often, just as before. All i can suggest right now, is that if anyone wants a refund i will give you the isk out of my own pocket if need be, up to a point of course. I hope this is not the case as it could set-back the lottery even further and im sure it wont be much longer till XT gets back to what he does best. Fly safe guys. |

Scamspotter, if you'd done your homework, you'd be able to find that no character has had a statistically-improbable winning streak in the Xtrinity lotteries. Also, this kind of break (although not of this length) has been common in Xtrinity draws.
Furthermore, based on the prizes, Xtrinity makes a good deal of profit off of every lottery, which gives him very little motivation to pull off a scam in the first place.
That said, I cannot say that I approve of XTrinity's long silence. Those of us who have been with the lottery for a long time know he goes on business trips and has long absences from the game, but the sheer length of this absence is getting a bit absurd. I've been looking forward to the draw for so long, I've nearly forgotten how much fun those draws are.
I second the idea that XTrinity should figure out some way to delegate to a trusted secondary drawer, but I understand if that wouldn't be feasible.
