Let me just say that while I'm unhappy about the length of the draw (as I'm sure we all are), I am still quite confident that XTrinity's seventeenth lotto is no more of a scam than any of his previous lotteries.
While your isk may be tied up in the lottery, you needn't worry that said isk has disappeared, whether or not a draw occurs. If you're unhappy (as you have every right to be), you can mail XTrinity, and your isk will be returned to you the moment he signs on.
Here's hoping we have a draw soon, and that XT's long absence is still related only to business problems, and not something life-threatening.

I understand that we can all have RL issues that get in the way of our game time or prevent us from logging in, i myself have a problem at the moment, but i think should no draw take place again this weekend i'll little option but to request a refund on the tickets i bought

Everyone will of course be entitled to a refund if they are unhappy, but i know XT well and hes a good lad. He always gets the job done and this will be no exception. This is simply a little setback, granted its taken alot longer than usual but i can assure you guys that if XT could log on and get this over with right now he would have. Those of you who have participated in an XT lottery before know exactly what i mean, and for those of you who have not, please express any concerns in the XTLottery mailing list and ill have a look. Hi Broody, I absolutely agree with you, however, as with any respectable business XT might want to make sure the services are delivered promptly at all times. We all understand RL issues interfering with the game, and I do hope XT is just taken aside by work and that he is otherwise doing well. I think, though, that a backstopping system should be put in place, perhaps someone trustworthy (like yourself) doing the draw in XT's absence if he should be unable to do so himself. I will stick with the XT Lottery for the time being but would appreciate if my suggestion is properly considered, for the sake of all of us who enjoy the XT Lottery (and those of us who are not as patient as the others). Ive brought up the subject of me handling the draws with XT before, but we haven't been able to discuss it fully. Maybe with this draw being so late, he will re-consider this and we can arrange something. I haven't been around the past couple of months, due to moving house and sorting out problems with the move, but i am now settled and will be around alot more often, just as before. All i can suggest right now, is that if anyone wants a refund i will give you the isk out of my own pocket if need be, up to a point of course. I hope this is not the case as it could set-back the lottery even further and im sure it wont be much longer till XT gets back to what he does best. Fly safe guys. |

Scamspotter, if you'd done your homework, you'd be able to find that no character has had a statistically-improbable winning streak in the Xtrinity lotteries. Also, this kind of break (although not of this length) has been common in Xtrinity draws.
Furthermore, based on the prizes, Xtrinity makes a good deal of profit off of every lottery, which gives him very little motivation to pull off a scam in the first place.
That said, I cannot say that I approve of XTrinity's long silence. Those of us who have been with the lottery for a long time know he goes on business trips and has long absences from the game, but the sheer length of this absence is getting a bit absurd. I've been looking forward to the draw for so long, I've nearly forgotten how much fun those draws are.
I second the idea that XTrinity should figure out some way to delegate to a trusted secondary drawer, but I understand if that wouldn't be feasible.

I've entered XT lotteries before and never had any problems; in my experience XTrinity is a trustworthy guy and I'm sure the draw will take place, albeit a bit later than people expected. Of course I'm sure he'll also issue refunds to anyone wanting out as soon as he gets time to get online and sort this out. |

Hello, everyone.
I'll try to keep this short. Predictability of my online is gone completely, yet again on Saturday I was expecting to be at home and hold the draw and was unable to do that.
With respect to that please read the following:
1. XT Broodyviper is authorised to hold and host the draw at the time of his choosing to back me up. Broody, post the winners in the mailing list, pls.
2. Unless Broody does it first, I will hold the draw during any day when I am available, so I strongly advise the participants to idle in the XTrinity chat channel to maximize your chances of being at the draw.
3. Join XTSeries mailing list! I thought of drawing on Saturday and only 3 people showed up after my eve-mail call in the list. Next time I am online, I will hold the draw, even if there are no pilots in the channel.
Again, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience. It is not by any means my intention to delay this draw any further.
Having said that, I respectfully ask not to begin or continue any defamation claims in this thread, so I do not have to clean them up.
The draw will be handled soon as described above and prizes will be contracted accordingly. Refunds for overpayments will follow as well.

If Todoshi won, he will be provided with the prizes accordingly. If not - all tickets in the list have played to my knowledge, since I have not received any feedback requesting changes after my last post and have seen no complete explicit agreement between Todoshi and Plasmatique.
I will be in game by Sunday, so all winners, please check the mailing list and pick your fleets.

I'd like to confirm that plasma did try to buy my tickets but after the draw was held and while i was offline (i've been out most of the evening).

He did post he wanted his money back and didn't want to participate anymore. I posted straight after that, that I'll take his tickets and that you (Xtrinity) to take it from my earlier "deposit". After that, no message from you or Broody about this.
Again, if you decide this way, it's fine by me....just kinda harsh that the guy who wanted to get rid of his tickets, already got a confirmation that I'd buy them, trashed the lottery, got his ticket money from me (allthough after the drawing I noticed after I sent the iskies...as I said, I strained my back and was not able to do anything besides lay on my bed; checkable by my leave of absence note from work if anyone wants to check) would still get the prize...
Just like you buy a ticket for a lottery which takes a bit longer....sell the ticket on ebay cause you don't want to wait(but didn't get the money for it yet), and keep the ticket after you got the jackpot on it.

Plasma, my apologies, what I was missing here is the seal on the deal, which in fact did not happen. Since I had no access to EVE at the time I could not transfer from your deposet myself, which would have been done if that wasn't the case.
Todoshi, I hope your suspicions to the legitimacy of this draw are cleared at this point. I will contract prizes next time I am online regardless of winners being online or not.

Yes plasma, I see your request right after he wanted to give up his tickets.
ISK transfer could not be completed by me and Todoshi is by any logic still entitled to his tickets, unless you transferred isk yourself to him prior to the draw and they were not refunded.
This is the only case I could consider at this point as a challenge for a prize.
And clear it for me already, did his tickets win the Chimera?

I can see your point plasma i can, but if you can look at if from my point of view, i have been in the xseries lottery channel since xt's message on sunday, yes ive posted negative comments on this thread because this is my first time entering and i was concerned (i don't think i was the only one) but it does look a little dodgy that the isk was only transfered after the draw was made and after it was annoced that one of my tickets had won the chimera
i will stand by whatever decision is made by the organiser, and i can honestly say that now that this draw has been made i did make a mistake in questioning the trustyworthyness of XT, however as i have said this is my first xt lottery and evetyone knows how easy it is for one player to just change his mind and take the money and run.

I had no idea as I wasn't online for the last 2 days....I just came online to get it sorted as you didn't do anything...only after I sent Todoshi the iskies, and logging on to Banana Mistress did I see the draw already took place.
He asked you for his money back, not me...As you still have iskies from me (not sure on the amount tho) I thought it would be enough to just state I'd take his tickets and asking you to deal with it. This wouldn't have become an issue if you didn't give Broody permission to do the drawing (which was great as a lot of people were waiting for quite some time).
You know what m8, just leave it....My back is hurting like a mofo and I can't stay on any longer. And not winning an eve lottery is the least of my problems at the moment.
