Posted - 2008.08.07 22:07:00 - [69] I really dont "get" the need to flame Hydra, from all I have seen of them they are willing to fight where they think they can do OK, they are usually pretty good humoured in local and on CAOD and never claimed to be shit hot pvpers or anything more than they are, which is a pretty regular alliance that caters to a wide player base. There are a hell of a lot more alliances out there than Hydra.

I heard TRI pilots saying: should they attack now we would have problem. You don't believe in your pilots, you expect them to win a war denying them all opportunities to fight. You can't train good pilots by sitting in POS or station. You must field ships. Do not afraid of fight. It's not a shame to lose. Ask any older member of TRI about FOF alliance. They used to live in Pure Blind, they were flying tech1 ships with tech1 fittings, they died a lot but they fought every time we entered their space. I remember fights when we placed a tower in their system. We had quite large gang and they kept attacking us till we ran out of ammo and - finally - all the ships. Their pilots lost several ships in this long engagement yet they were still coming in new one. It was one of the best and most intence fight I ever was. And I can assure you that all our pilots respect this. In more OOC way: it's a game and should be fun. What's the point of having multiple ships and selfdestroying them for insurance or selling for half the price. If you must go down with fireworks and have some fun. Be creative. Have fun. See you in space.

Last night i had an awesome 1on1 fight with another inty - however we both bailed before either of us died, i proposed we took a rematch but he didn't want to (dont blame him tho taranis vs crow heh) However, when we had the Drake gang - you also had a rather large gang, but disbanded it?.. if you had been smart you could have taken out a few drakes and/or nano ships and bailed - and atleast have caused us SOME damage.. But meh, at this point i'll take what i can get :) I dont think hydra sucks, they just lack motivation and leadership. You can take 1 elite **er against 10 noobs and the 10 noobs will own the elite er any day - in anything. If Hydra did the same, they'd overrun us no doubt.. Insert any attacking alliance and defending alliance name in the brackets and this is true in every account! Simply ask yourself 1 simple question, Does (the aggressor) want to actually claim your space? In most cases the answer is NO! But it still makes me smile every time I see this happen

Insert TRI as a defender and Roadkill as attacker and you have lots of fun on the TRI side. See, I just ruined your theory.
