There are a few things in LP store def. worth the LP you spend, I will reveal one of the secrets and that is Ammo (Atleast working for amarr), ourprice everyone in Jita and you still make a large chunk of profit, if you're patient you can place it at it's regular price and it will get sold in time.
Now there are some Faction items worth buying with LP/isk/tags but those you'll have to figure out yourself

M and L ammo earn much less per LP, and I dont think there is such a huge market for S AM. There is some but...
Now, at this moment, most offers for faction modules from Gallente store suck. Minmatar have same costing but better speed stuff, Amarr have same costing but better armor tank stuff... Few people actually use faction guns.
And I'm not spilling any secrets, almost all 5% hardwirings go over 1200 ISK/LP, just good luck farming those 80,000LPs.

On average, I get 80k LP before I get a L4 storyline (i.e. 16 L4s), and I'm not maxed-out on LP skills yet.

I know, I know, but in order to escape Dodixie, Auvergne, Aunia death triangle of lag, I'm running missions for a pathetic agent; ~1500LP for a good mission.  (and I dont have connection skills yet, those 50 mill are always needed somewhere else)

1.5k ? For one of the 6h bonus time missions ? DAMN ! My agent is relatively crappy (moved out of the Aramachi lagspot near Motsu more than a year ago) and it still offers close to 6k (well, not quite, but close enough)... so that would be over 4k per "good" mission if I had no connection skills.
If your agent barely gives you a third of that, you might be working for the wrong corp/division combo.
Ever tried eny of the following : Boystin (Solitude), Ignebaener (Essence) or Ation (Sinq Laison) ?

The idea that 1000 loyalty points=1mil isk is bunk now. The market is saturated with LP offers. The only decent LP choice now is the CNR at 600,000 LP.

Though I does raise a question. Where are the CNRs coming from? Cosmos rewards and BPCs?

Any Caldari corporation.
But on the LP value front it seems to me that you have high value items that sell very slowly (and therefore don't bring in much Isk) and low value items that sell very quickly. Somewhere there is an average and I think that 1000/LP is a good return.
It all depends if you want your money now or tomorrow

Can't comment on the other 2, but in my experience the Ation-agent (l4 command, low q) doesn't do that well lp-wise. Next door (Jel) might be better, though it's not an 'official' killagent .

Jel is the "best" you can get if you jumped onto the FN/FIO bandwagon.
LP stores have one glaring issue for me, some of the usefull resonably priced items require large amounts of low rank tags but everyone runs and loots L4s. The LP stores could use some adjustments to reality, both in tags required and comparing similiar mods across factions.

Great point. I have run Gallente misions up to level III, and have yet to see a Caldari Captain III dog tag, yet most of the low end items in the LP store require quite literally 100 plus.

Agreed. The tag drops are a bit wonky. I generally tend to avoid running against other factions for standing issues. Ninja looting in Black Rise may be an option to collect tags.
But yeah it appears LP value has nose dived. In the last month 50m off the price of a Navy Mega. People are giving away LP right now.

I sold the first CNR offer I had for over 1bn ISK (back when you had to wait for the right offer to come along). The second was sold at a really sharp price to a corpmate at 750m.
Now they're on contracts for 420m. Since they cost 600k LP and 200m ISK, people are making less than 370ISK/LP on that offer. Only the fact that there's a hundred thousand morons running CN missions makes that happen.
That said, almost everyone in this thread seems to be ignoring the cost (or opportunity cost) of the tags required for module offers. They can make some otherwise worthwhile offers less appealing.
