I was wondering, there was a time when 1.000 LP¦s were worthy something around 1 million isk when converted in offers. Today looking for the itens in Lp store and their price on the market, I would say that 1.000 Lp¦s were worthy no more than 250.000 isk, but I cant guess for sure.
Back to the question, how much do you this that a 1.000 Lp¦s are worthy?

Edited by: Amastat on 08/08/2008 01:29:56 If you know the LP stores, there are plenty of items worth more than 500k ISK for every 1k LP - some items are as much as 1 million ISK for every 1k LP, and even a few are over 1 million - depending on the market.
You make the ISK by selling the items, via contracts or market. The prices can change - it is a player market afterall, so LP worth can fluctuate as a direct result.
Rule of thumb for me is don't settle for anything less than 750,000 ISK for 1k LP - anything less is a bad deal and a waste of LP. ____________________

There are some items worth 1000isk/lp, and even more. Just prospect the market.

Worst case scenario, in a hurry and needing to unload a great deal of LPs, then yes, 1k LP would probably be worth barely around 250k ISK, if that much. Have a bit of patience, look around more, and you can easily get 750k. Wait until you have enough, get some extra items you need with buy orders, be patient on contracts, and you might get over 1.5 mil ISK for 1k LP (well, the ratio, not the amounts).
For instance, I can see right now buy orders in Jita for LP shop items that value LP at around 1100 ISK a piece on average... and much more if you play the sell order game.
Heck, theoretically, if you're really patient and don't have that much LP to turn over, 3k ISK per LP is also possible on the market, just look around at price histories and lack of decent sell orders (there are no buy orders though, and volumes traded are quite low, so it might take a while).

Edited by: Lorna Loot on 08/08/2008 02:51:50 There is an item bought by NPC's from none combat specialised mission corps (ie not the navys or security corps) that buy an item worth 8000 LP for 8mil. (They also provide the item in question on their LP store).
Thats where the 1mill per 1k LPs comes from.
Edit: though that could have changed, its been a while and the LP store website listings are super old. ----------

You're talking about the Nexus chips. It's been removed a long time ago, and almost instantly afterwards, the LP value crashed, hard. Before removal of those NPC buy orders, you could easily sell your LP at over 1500 ISK a piece if you did a bit of browsing.

I missioned because I wanted a CNR. Then I saw that they cost like SIX-HUNDRED-THOUSAND LP. Now I've just got 230,000 lp saved up with Home Guard because I am hoping for a LP store boost or buff. (like Faction Battlecruisers ) So, no I don't churn mine.

It entirely depends on what you're getting for those LP. The general rule is that, the more flashy the item, the lower the return on your points.
The ships, for instance, tend to bring in 3-600 ISK/LP, but depends a fair bit on how you contract them. More mundane items can easily bring in over 1kISK/LP.
The ones I choose to deal in, which admittedly have a fairly slow return due to low volumes, give me a 3500-4500 ISK/LP profit. I just have to be careful not to flood my own market…

LP store is supposed to be viable reward for ALL missionrunners... Right now only the ones really adept at reading the market and the good traders get any real value out of them..
LP store is pretty crap and the amount of missions needed to be done to get something out it are crazy.

Edited by: Ghengis Tia on 08/08/2008 13:59:27 CN Cruise Launchers - waste of LP. Seems most people opt for the BP and then mfr and sell them in lots of five. If you can mfr tech 2 items you're in good shape.
CN Siege Launchers - much better deal as I don't think there is an option to buy a BP to make them.
Then there are the prices of tags needed, tags that you rarely (or never) see in missions but seem to be in good supply for obscene amounts of Isk on the market.

What pimp stuff to we use to PvP with? think of that and you get your profit.
Protips:
Gallente navy webs are the best webs if CCP continue with the fail patch so get some of them.
Republic fleet scram and disrupter, webs not so much now.
Amarr navy EANM's are super popular.

There are plenty of high-volume items that sell for over 1000isk/lp. The better high-volume items are pushing 2000isk/lp. Some specialized high end offers, such as useful 5 run faction BPCs also give quite a good ROI.

Well, right now I have 40k LP with the federal navy. Yesterday I was looking at the LP store to see if there was something usefull to buy with those points. After seeing something interesting, I took a look at the market and at the contracts and see that I was going to spend almost the price of the item in LP and ISK requisites.
Futhermore, I realised that the high cost LP itens are the real ones which are worthy to trade, but I am a few hundred of thousands of points away from reaching them. An example can be found on the skill hardwiring (speed, tracking, armor reparing) implants, some o them cost 10k lp plus 10million ISK and on the market I can find the same implants for 14million isk.
Even worse, many itens in the store ask for another itens in order to trade, itens that if you are going to buy, they might be expensive.
To finish, I dont like to mine missions for ISK, I like to get LP and storylines, but it seems to me that mining missions are more profitable right now (dunno if that is forbidden, if it is sorry to mention it.)
And still we have people that ask ccp to nerf missions.

Hmm, I get at least 4k LP per L4 mission (up to around 6k for some), I get over 1k LP for some L3 missions, and you CAN find stuff in the LP store that sells relatively well for under 10k LP. Doesn't sound like crazy much missions needed to me...

There, there, see, this is your problem. Gallente LP shops. They're generally the crappiest. Not that you can't find SOME decent items there, but they're not many. The best LP shops right now are pirate shops, the Minmatar shops, then Caldari and Amarr about on par, with Gallente the worst.

Gallente webs might be quite interesting post-speed-patch. Weapons, not so much. Armor reppers and EANMs, somewhat decent, but not very. Faction ammo however is always a half-decent thing to trade... mostly antimatter though.

If you go by buy orders, sure, don't expect to get over 500 ISK per LP. Look at things that DO trade every now and then, and look at SELL orders instead of buy orders.

Why would it be forbidden ? It's completely fine. But damned boring. And you can get almost as much cash mining in a belt.

I dunno, best I could get is 850 ISK/LP. A year ago I had some options that reached ~1000LP/ISK but prices dropped in meantime. Though I know what my error is, I'm not doing missions for Caldari corps, and am not driving a CNR...

Akira brought up one of the simplest 1000isk+ items - faction Antimatter Charge S.
About 300000 charges are sold per day.
In Jita today you'll get:
Federation Antimatter Charge S on Sell Orders for 584. Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S on Sell Orders for 599.
The median day price is currently 600 and the moving average is about 550.
Your cost for 5000 charges is 1200LP, 1,200,000 isk and 5000 regular charges. The regular charges cost 13 isk each. So 1,265,000 isk and 1200 LP.
The value of 5000 charges using the moving day average is 5000x550isk = 2,750,000
The LP value for this transaction is thus: (2,750,000 - 1,265,000) / 1200 LP = 1237,5 isk/ 1 LP.
And there are plenty of other and better deals out there. So don't go crashing the faction Antimatter S market:)

I get more or less reliably 1200 isk/LP. Altho I do use non-navy caldary LP store. Sometimes I have to wait for a week or two for my stuff to sell if someone else has cashed in in same items heavy.
Item(s) I use are able to shift up to approx 400 000 LP / week for me with reasonable reliablity. Above that number I tend not to get as good LP/isk ratio, but still above 1000 isk/LP mark.

I know, but this question keeps coming up so often, and the faction hybrid ammo isn't the best deal out there - just a good one. Now maybe someone will read this and explore the market for themselves.
